my weekend
My DH had planned a surprise weekend for me this past weekend. I was convinced he was going to take me to Islands of Adventure for Harry Potter world, but then we he told me we weren't leaving the house until 3 on saturday, that kind of eliminated that.
So here's what we did: We drove to Orlando and first thing we did was check into our room at the Embassy Suites. This was really thoughtful because I used to travel for work a lot and loved staying there. But, with the new job, I don't travel anymore and don't get to stay in nice hotels. We were there in time to have a few free drinks during happy hour, then went out to dinner at Longhorn.
After dinner, we drove to Universal Studios to go to a LIfehouse concert. It was really cool. Admittedly, DH is a bigger fan than I am, but I still really enjoyed it.
Sunday morning started off with an excellent cooked-to-order breakfast (I looove embassy suites breakfast), then we drove back to Universal. LOL. Apparently his plan all along was to go to IOA/WWOHP on Sunday. Fooled me! Plus, he somehow managed to get free tickets, score! It was great to check out HP since I'd never been.
So that was our 24 hour whirlwind weekend! DH gets major 
for planning it!
