Yikes, BFF's 40th bday is in 3 weeks

Ok that kinda crept up on me.

She's not really a party person, so even if I was organized enough to get something together at this point, I don't think she'd be a big fan.  I asked her a few weeks ago if her DH had any big plans and she said no - her kids are in a ton of activities this year so she thought they'd probably have to go to somebody's soccer game, piano recital, etc. and if not, she just wanted to relax and not do anything.

I can take her out for manis/pedis and lunch, but I know its always a PITA for her to coordinate her kids activities w/ her husband who runs his own business from home - so sometimes I think its more stressful for her to be away.  What can I do?

  • Can you talk to her DH and coordinate with him to be able to take the kids and then your friend won't have to stress - it'll just be taken care of already?
