I just found out the wedding I am in in June (the dog theme one) is at 10:30am. I knew they were having a brunch menu but I was still thinking it would be around noon or 1. Nope. She said we can start arriving to set up around 8:30 if we can't set up the night before. Oh boy. Aiden is also in the wedding so that will be fun getting him ready that early too! Can't wait! lol
Re: Kinda Early?
OMG, three years ago we were invited to a sunrise wedding at 7 AM. The venue was at a ranch two hours away and there weren't any hotels to stay at in the area. Well, we totally slept through our 4 AM waking time and didn't go : Still to this day I feel bad about missing that wedding, but c'mon, a 7 AM wedding? In the middle of no where?
We did send a nice gift to make up for our absence though. Guilt can be expensive....
But like I have told you before, please post pics of the dog wedding. I can't wait to see the pics!

Oh I will! lol My MIL is making the favors for it. They are little dog print bags with dog bone shaped cookies inside.
I love my crazy child!

haha I know! I wonder what time the bride had to wake up to get ready for that!

Umm...will people be able to tell that these are PEOPLE cookies shaped like dog bones, and not actually dog treats? I gotta say, I'm not sure I'd be rushing to eat a dog bone shaped cookie at a dog-themed wedding unless it was specified it was actually for people!
And ugh for the early time. How early are you going to have to get up to set up AND get ready? No offense to your friend, but this wedding sounds like a bit of a circus. I am also looking forward to pictures!
MrsJason, that 7 a.m. wedding is also ridiculous. I guess in theory it sounds romantic, but dude, I feel bad asking my Dad to get up to drive me to the airport at 7:00 a.m. when I have an early flight back home. I could not imagine asking a whole bunch of people to do so for my wedding!

My wedding was at 10:45. It was early! We all had to get up at the crack of dawn! I did it because it was cheaper to have a noon reception and since we were having it at the Grand Plaza I wanted it to be light outside while we were up in the ballroom overlooking the Gulf.
We just partied all day long and it was a ton of fun!
So this is the famous dog wedding! Wow, I can't wait to see pics! :P
I went to a realllly nice wedding once in NJ, and it started at 11 am. It seemed odd to me because I always expected daytime weddings to be more casual, but this was the nicest wedding we've ever gone to. The bride is Jewish & the groom is Catholic, and if I remember correctly Jewish ceremonies can only take place on certain days/times. They had a big breakfast set-up when we first got their, like a pre-cocktail hour. Mimonsas, coffee, danishes, etc.
We also went to a dog-themed wedding once in NJ. It was done very nicely though, not at all tacky. The also had cookies, but they were paw shaped (I think that's a much better idea!)
