Amazon mom/prime

Re: Amazon mom/prime

  • I pay for Amazon Prime and loooooooooooove it. The free two-day ship is awesome. I thought about switching to Amazon Mom but don't buy enough baby stuff anymore to warrant that.

Also, Amazon Prime started allowing you to stream movies and shows. List is still small, but I love that new bonus feature.

  • Do. It. Now. (Amazon Mom)

Love it. Totally risk free. I signed up because hey, why the hell not, and am totally obsessed with the free two day shipping. I buy diapers on there via the subscribe and save (and milk storage bags, I think that's it), so I keep extending my benefits and will get the whole year (the max for free shipping). After that, I will sign up for Amazon Prime and pay for it.

The thing that really got me to sign up for it was that you don't automatically get enrolled in Prime and have to pay for it after your benefits expire. They're not trying to trick you to do anything. They just want to get you hooked on the glory of free two day shipping and convince you it's worth paying the one time fee for. It's a really ingenious marketing ploy.

Living in the middle of nowhere, it has made my life so much easier.

  • When we signed up for Amazon mom, it came with 3 months free prime, which would stay free if you ordered $25 of baby stuff every month. Didn't happen. We enjoyed the 3 months of free prime, and I contemplate taking advantage of their mom deals, but haven't. (Don't remember if you are a CDer or disposable diaperer.) If you buy name-brand diapers and wipes, it is super great. They have awesome discounts. Not as cheap as buying Target brand in the store, but probably the best prices for Huggies and Pampers, especially if you "subscribe" (sign up to have diapers sent to you every month, 3 months, or whatever). And you can stack coupons from the manufacturer with coupons from Amazon. Amazon mom is free, so there's really no reason not to sign up.

  • Love it!  I've ordered all sorts of stuff with my prime membership.  I've even got some good deals on cloth diapers.  I've used it for wipes and baby food.  You should definitely sign up.

  • I'm doing Amazon mom and so far I really like it. Maybe a little too much! I didn't realize that it converts to a paid account after a year, so I'll probably drop it then. Haven't ordered diapers yet, but when I do I'm definitely going to do the subscribe & save. Even if it's just once and then I cancel, then I think it's worth it.

I have done this with some other items just to get the deal.

  • OK, so I have Amazon student. If you have an email at a college which I assume you do (and Ebonie!), you can sign up for free, no CC, nothing. You just have to verify the email when they send it to you. You get free 2 day shipping, yippee!

My college took my email away after like a year after I graduated...I could've paid to keep it- yeah effing right.

Don't do it, lol!  I learned a lot, don't get me wrong but other than the fact I am required to have a master's within 10 years in my district, it does nothing for me professionally.  I get a 1k raise and that's it.  If you do go to grad school, don't be like me and do a 3 year program in 18 months.  It's not worth your sanity.  Slow and steady wins the race:)  lol
