So, my husband owns a landscaping business and we have in a tiny 875sf house with a one car garage that is jam packed full of his equipment. We have been looking at houses for a couple of weeks now and there is one that we have found that has the floor plan we want, the lot is larger and there is a huge storage space where we can keep all of his equipment and tools.
We are limited with where we can move due to neighborhood restrictions when it comes to building a storage unit on the property and we need at least half an acre to build something if it isn't already there.
So, we found this house in Buda that has everything we need. Big yard, big beautiful trees, open floor plan, HUGE storage unit on the back corner of the property....The only kicker....there is a big water tank right next door.
Granted, you cannot see it from any window in the house and can only see it when driving up to the house, along the driveway and you can see the tip top of the tank through the trees in the backyard. We could easily line our driveway with plants to shield the view and we would most likely be able to get approval from the neighborhood association to add landscaping along the fence facing the road.
If you were in my shoes, what would you do?
Re: What would you do?
I agree with this.
But another thing I would consider is what your future plans are regarding kids. If the thought is even on the horizon, in addition to size of the lot for DH's business and layout, you would probably want to consider location, schools, etc to potentially not have to move again later with a LO in tow.
Good point. Kids are in our near future, and I have heard good things about the Buda school district, so I think we are fine on that front.
By the house across the street from me cause it meets all your requirements
I think I'd deal with it, it's not that horrible really, and if you plan to be there a long time then it's even better. I agree with everyone else really.
Is the house across from you for sale? If so, send me the info kelso8581 at yahoo dot com
