CA Gals - anyone see that sexual predator ad on TV?
For Prop 4? Where this "predator" says he is free to screw young girls, get them knocked up and then get them an abortion w/o Mommy finding out?
Freaking sick.
Re: CA Gals - anyone see that sexual predator ad on TV?
I haven't seen the ad, but I think this is probably the prop 4 people's best arguments. It's the one scenario that makes me want to support Prop 4. A couple years ago, I went back and forth on parental notification for precisely this reason. I'm voting against it, but I it's definitely the one side effect that most concerns me. In the end, the other problems with prop 4 far outweigh this concern, IMO, but I suspect it could be incredibly effective.
I heard that ad on a podcast on reproductive rights that I listen to. ?Messed up. ?And infuriating. ?Mostly because it probably is effective.
When are people going to figure out that restricting access to abortion doesn't actually change whether it happens? ?It only changes the safety. ??
