How long do you normally spend at the gym?
On a weeknight?
On a weekend?
How long would you consider too long for an average weeknight?

Re: Gym Time Poll
45 min to 1 hour....weeknight or weekend.
Anything past an hour is too long for me.
<a href="http://s65.photobucket.com/albums/h205/adia83/?action=view
I'm usually there about 1 1/2 hours on average 4 to 5 times a week
Weeknights closer to an hour
Weekends closer to two hours
I wouldn't be able to do longer than 1 1/2 hours on a weeknight and still have time to get all my other stuff done.

On a weekend?

Let's be serious - I need to actually get to the gym.
When I go, I go weekday mornings. I spend anywhere from 30 minutes - 1 hour depending on the workout.
ETA: I need to finish reading all your questions before posting. I'd say anything over 90 minutes is too long.
I go weekday mornings and weekends.
On weekday mornings I can fit in an hour.
On weekends, closer to 90 minutes.
On a weeknight, I'd say anything longer than 90 minutes would be too long for me.
We have an elliptical in the sunroom, so I don't go to the gym.
I spend 30-45 min most days working out, regardless of the day of the week. "too long" would be more about what else I need to do that night, and whether my body's going to give out from working out too much.
BAHAHAHA...
I laugh because I haven't seen the inside of my gym since right before I found out I was pregnant. Last January. And the really funny part is we had JUST received a year's membership to our gym from my MIL as our xmas present. Oops.

yes. WAY too long.
I used to spend well over 2 hours at the gym during my sophomore and junior years of college. Especially in the summers. It was ridiculous. Granted, I didn't have many obligations then, I suppose, besides a part-time retail job and homework.
I try to keep gym time to an hour or less. I refuse to run more than 6 miles on a treadmill anymore. I just can't handle it. I used to run up to 9, yuck. Anything longer than 6 has to be outdoors, and if the weather is bad and I need to do a 12 miler, too bad, I'm still only running 6 so that I'm not at the gym more than an hour. I've taken group classes that go a little over an hour, but not by much.
I think guys are different though, Mary. Craig used to run on the treadmill and then lift and it took him forever.
I don't belong to a gym, but I think 1.5 - 2 hours a weeknight doing physical activity is a lot of time. That same amount of time on a weekend isn't too much.
For me, I take about 45 minutes to an hour on a weeknight/weekend when I run. I haven't started P90x but when I do that will add 90 minutes. It's a lot but I'm hoping the 3 month program will give me better results.
