So, when I was at the grocery store, I gave in and bought a box of low fat granola. I always look at the granola but never buy it because I know how I am (and it's the same with honey nut cheerios). I said I would be better and not to eat it all. Well, after eating a ton of it yesterday and two HUGE bowls just now, I just threw the rest of the box out. I don't need it there tempting me anymore because clearly it has magical power over me.
I have lost the battle with the cereal. Sigh.
Re: Food binge
haha I am totally the same way - its a shame because Granola is actually good for you in moderation...I just suck at moderation with it because I think a serving is like 1/4 or 1/2 cup? I dunno, but clearly not enough for me ha.
Speaking of serving size and moderation, has anyone else tried Special K Cracker Chips? The sour cream and onion ones are really good and you get 27 chips in a serving. Not that they provide much nutrients but they satisfy my need for crunch and I dont feel like I didnt get enough when I'm done.

I've seen those Linds - I think I might try them. How many points are they?
Cereal is sooo addicting! I'm week 4 of WW and I'm starting to hit the "AHHH who cares, I should just eat whatever" attitude. Luckily I haven't given in yet, but it sure is tempting!!
They are 3 points per serving (so 3 pts per 27 chips).
Jmkes - are you allowing yourself to utilize your weekly points each week? That really helps me to stay on track each week and not be tempted to say "screw it" and give up lol.
I save all my weekly points for the weekend and I'm typically able to fit in 2 regular meals, and 2 regular desserts over the course of the weekend. I'm on week 6 I think and I haven't even thought of giving up yet. I'm really liking the plan

Linds - I'm only letting myself utilize 3 or 4 of the weekly points. I've just been tapering my daily intake if I know I'm going to be, for example, having dinner out. We had a double date with another married couple last Friday and I saved my daily points up so I could eat a hamburger. It was the best hamburger ever! (ok, j/k, but it was so tasty!) I'm not going to give up, but it's easy to see things that just look sooo good & want to give in. I like keeping track of what I eat. I hardly snack at all anymore (I used to have multiple snacks a day.)
