Somebody was shot in my neighborhood today!
Apparently some guy stole a bank guard's gun on Cross St in Federal Hill this afternoon, tried to car-jack a woman and then fled on foot south down Light St. He was shot by police after turning the gun on them (but is not dead).
I was outside reading when I heard all these sirens and a helicopter was circling around and around for almost an hour. It was actually very annoying but I'm glad to know what happened. Crazy!

That's a wonderful BOA in a great part of the city. It's dog-friendly (which is enough for me!) and everyone is extremely nice.
Yea I walk to Federal Hill a lot for lunch with adoptable dogs and she always says hi and is nice to me. I felt really bad for her, she looked so confused when it happened. I hope nothing happens to her job-wise because it really happened so fast she wasn't at fault. And surprisingly I felt totally safe the whole time because the guy was running away! It's Light St, people are everywhere, I was just more stunned than scared. A woman next to me had a baby in a stroller, I was more scared for her baby since he was pointing the gun down in that direction.
