Are we the only ones who didn't register for china?

In fact, we didn't even register for everyday dishes, because Chris already had nice Crate & Barrel dishes that we use.

Just curious if we missed out on something with the china!

We had just bought everyday dinnerware and we aren't big for fancy entertaining. We didn't register for china figuring it was expensive and we would never use it. So you aren't alone

Oh good! These are the same reasons we didn't. We figured we'd never use them, so it would be better to register for other things we'd actually get use out of. Besides, we don't really have anywhere to store stuff like this, so that factored into it, too (but just a little).

We didn't register for high end china, I think it would be classified as casual china. We use it as our every day dinnerware. It wasn't cheap, but it wasn't so expensive that if we decided we wanted a new pattern in 10 years I wouldn't feel like we didn't get our money's worth. We would use fine china maybe once a year for Thanksgiving so for us it didn't make sense.

I didn't register for china either. I will be inheriting some from my mom (hopefully I will be old and grey before that happens though), and I don't have a china cabinet, so I don't currently have much use for a whole set of fancy dishes. Like Chelley, I didn't even register for regular dinnerware, as I already have ones that I like.

The only dishes we registered for were picnic plates...I worked in a Corning outlet in college so I had gotten dishes that I liked and we had several sets of older dishes; although we use the better ones for everyday...

Oh gosh no! I can't think of anything in this house that would go to waste more than China.

We didn't register for China because we know it would never get used. We did register for an everyday set only because we were giving our current set to DH's little sister and her new hubby.

We didn't register for China, but it's because I was truly blessed that as a wedding gift my grandfather gave me my great grandmothers china with 8 settings. So, while I obviously will never ever use it and it will sit in my hutch on display like it is now, at least I don't have to feel bad that people spent a ton of money on dishes that won't be used.

We did register for every day dishes. Mike had two sets in the apartment that were not only two half-sets, they were also bleh. So I stead we chose dishes together and got a full set of everything that all matches and that we both love.

No china here. I don't have a hitch or anyplace to put a hitch if I did have one. I am hoping to inherit someones china.

We didn't register for china either. But we did get my grandmas china set....although, even if we didn't get her set, we wouldn't have registered for it. It's not something we would ever use. So basically hers will sit in a china cabinet looking all pretty and what-not.

We just registered for an everyday set. Originally we were going to just register for a boxed set to match the set I had bought in college, but Sango had changed the designnd it no longer matched so we picked out new dishes. Nothing fancy for us though.

We didn't register for china because we already had 8 place settings. I've been collecting it for a few years. It's not fancy china, so I don't mind using it often.

We did register for the Gordon Ramsay Royal Doulton dishes for everyday because the ones we had were crappy IKEA plates.

We didn't either. We registered for everyday dishes at C&B. They were somewhat expensive, IMO ($70 per setting), but we love them.

We don't have the space to store china, nor do we have a dining table for to have guests over for a dinner that would be nice enough to bust out the china. (We just have a bistro 2 seat table and a kitchen island).

Plus, like Kearstin, both of our mom's have inherited china from family. So, we have our pick of atleast 4 sets when we have the space (and table) for it.
