Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

My job pretty much got insane two weeks ago (unexpectedly, of course). Went from teaching a few lectures to being in charge of a few courses, overnight. The senior guy is leaving as of May 1. And I am still developing the lectures I need to teach... as well as taking on all of these new responsibilities. Oh- and now have 8 MORE lectures the week before finals week. I spent the first week in shock, last week catching up, and this week just trying to get my lectures for next week together!!
And found out b/c of all this, we may not be able to leave for vacation when we wanted to... I haven't broken the news to DH about this one yet til I find out for sure (my boss is currently out of town).
I am so glad my mom was here when i found all this out- (DH was out of town)... she helped keep me sane

We'll still be able to go, it's just a matter of having to leave about 5 days later b/c I have to be there to administer and correct a make-up exam. We aren't allowed to give the exam during finals week, unless the student wants to take it during finals week. We have to give them the option of taking it the week after finals.
I just hope we can hire a replacement ASAP- but I know I was the replacement for someone who moved into an admin role more than 2 years before I was hired. Let's hope that's not the case now!
We were just driving somewhere, so it's not a huge deal.
And thanks for letting me vent. I was having a slight freak out moment at work!
