Speaking of books...

What's everyone reading?

I just started The Help.  I like it so far.  I haven't read a book from that time period in a long time.

Re: Speaking of books...

  • I'm reading two right now- Water for Elephants and Instinctive parenting...

I'm thumbing through baby name books nightly

  • Abba - We are reading Water for Elephants for book club this month.  I've already read it and it's excellent!  I can't wait to go see the movie!

  • I have been a reading machine this year!  (47 books so far!)  A few that I've read and loved are Still Alice by Lisa Genova, Room by Emma Donaghue, The Likeness by Tana French and The Lincoln Lawyer by Michael Connelly.  I've also been working my way through the Rev. Clare Fergusson series by Julia Spencer-Fleming.  They are murder mysteries set outside of Albany.  Last night I started Vision in White by Nora Roberts (the first of the Bride Quartet series) and it's okay but I'm not in love with it.

Room is on our list for book club.  I heard Lincoln Lawyer was good too (and so was the movie I guess).

  • I'm reading Honeymoon With My Brother by Franz Wisner. Memoir by a guy that got stood up 3 days before his wedding, had the party anyway and by taking his brother on his prepaid honeymoon they concocted an idea to travel around the world for a year or so. It's entertaining so far!

  • I finished the entire Harry Potter series a few weeks ago for the first time.  I feel LOST without all my HP buddies, lol.
