Hey there! Jimmy and I need to set up our final session with our photographer. Instead of me doing bridals before the wedding, we opted to do a married session afterwards. Finally the weather seems to be cooling off enough that I think I could handle it outdoors in my monster of a dress. ![]()
I'm looking for some suggestions for pretty outdoor spaces for these pictures. I'm over the FQ. I'd really like something just pretty - a nice garden, park, etc. Not interested in City or Audubon Park. The Zoo is, weirdly, on our list of places to check into but since I want the session to be a sort of trash the dress type, I don't know what they will allow. I checked into Longue Vue, but they seemed a bit strict. Anything nice and green on the northshore? (p.s. I am northshore clueless)
Re: "married" pics location suggestions?
I know you can go to Fountainbleu state park. It's right on the lake and has a "beach" feel to it... you can get into the lake.?
I was thinking of doing the Abita Park, which has one of the fountains that squirt water out from the ground and a playground, and a huge gazebo that's really pretty, then going to the park. Haven't decided yet though.
?
Longvue is really pretty. I don't think they're too strict, but you have to pay them to take your picture there.
What about in the warehouse district or something.....not exactly FQ, but a unique place...especially if you're doing a TTD type thing.
Did your photographer have any suggestions?
I've been thinking about having our pictures taken in Mandeville along the lake on Lakeshore Dr. I love it down there. The trees are beautiful. There's a small park in Covington at the south end of Columbia too.
My husband was going to take our dog to Fontainebleau Park but they were closed. He called and they said it was closed "indefinately". Call before you go to see if it's open.
