How is is that C is almost 20 weeks?! I admit that I haven't been around much, but it's hard to believe that you are halfway there! How is C feeling? Do you get your big u/s soon? And are you finding out if the babies are boys or girls? Also, have you started thinking about any daycare options yet?

Sorry to bombard you with all the questions, I am just so excited for you two : )

Re: ::Emily::

  • Hi ana : ) hanks for asking!  I can't believe she's 20 weeks tomorrow either!! We actually already know the sex from the CVS (but its not public, you guys know more than all but 3 friends and it will stay that way!), and we "finding out" tomorrow night at the anatomy scan Wink

    Our biggest issue right now is the names...our two fav names go best together. We have 17 weeks to figure it out though (with her history and the circumstances of the pregnancy, the eviction date is Aug 11 at 37w...I'm crossing my fingers she makes it that long).

    C's feeling pretty good, but KNOWS when she does too much.  Her energy is back, but she's measuring 26-28ish, so that's a lot of growth for 20w and extra hard on the body.

     I really need to start calling day care (for real not just for fun-ish like I have).  We're hoping to keep them home through the winter with my mom's and maybe my MILs help (she'll prob come out for a bit from StL once we get a new place in NJ). After that, we'll see. We're going to look into nannies as well as centers since for 2 the cost is similar. They'll go to pre-school at a center for sure between 2 and 3.

    How are you feeling now? I can't believe you only have 2 months left!!

  • Sounds like C is doing great and hanging in there! I can't imagine how uncomfortable she gets at the end of the day though, with measuring so far ahead. I will be keeping my fingers crossed that she makes it to 37 weeks, also! And I can't wait to hear your anatomy scan update. I hope you share some pictures with us too!

    I am still feeling great and have a ton of energy. Two weekends ago, I coordinated a wedding and was on my feet for 15 hours, and then the next day I took my MIL to an outlet mall where we walked around all day. I keep thinking that pretty soon I will hit a plateau and all this activity/energy will come to a screeching halt. But until then, I am just trying to get as much done as possible! And I think the nesting bug has fully hit me as well. I spent two hours yesterday cleaning our ceiling fans? So strange. We are also busy finishing up getting the house/nursery ready :)

    Speaking of, is your house still up for sale? Have you had any offers? I hope that all gets sorted out before too long : )

  • That's awesome you feel so good! Last Saturday C coached (so 3 hrs on the feet) then came to watch my game and then we went to the outlet mall for 2 hrs...she could barely move when we got home. I think a lot of the issue is just because she's grown so fast (moreso than her actual size).

    I hope to have some pictures uploaded on Friday :)

    Our house is for sale....we have been getting a lot of showings, and good feedback (mostly) but no bites. Its only been 6 weeks and I promised not to freak out till 90 days, so I am still hopeful!  I am really hoping we can be in a new place before the holidays, but we'll see.

  • I am sending 'sell your house fast' vibes your way! The good feedback is always a great sign. I am sure it's just a matter of time! Will you be staying in the same area still?

    And I will be looking forward to your post Friday. If I don't see anything, I reserve every right to stalk you ;)

  • We're moving to NJ - we wouldn't sell the house otherwise (though there's a tiny chance I might take a job back at my old job, long story, but its unlikely) - as I'm working in NYC now (C works in NJ, near the NY border). Thanks for the vibes. I'm really hopeful!! I have to admit I'm pretty bummed we can't work on a nursery right now!
