Our anniversary day trip turned into a mini vacay instead-Plus Review
So instead of taking just a day trip anywhere dh decided he would take a couple days off. So from Tuesday morning to Thursday night we went to Las Vegas. We had such a great time.
We got into Vegas at about 9 AM. The weather was beautiful and I just wanted to go right to the hotel and see if we could get early check in so we could lay by the pool. Dh started driving all the way down the strip and he said "oh we have time lets go check out the Pawn Stars pawn shop". So he pulls into a parking lot and says "we're gonna go here instead", it was a massage place. So he secretly planned for us to have our very first couples massage. The massage was so relaxing, and at times I had to keep from laughing because dh fell asleep and was snoring. 
After the massage we headed to the hotel. We stayed at The Excalibur and for $34 a night I have no complaints at all. The pool was nice, the hotel was clean, and the buffet was good as well. They have a buffet deal for $24.99 a person you can eat at the buffet all day. So all meals as many times as you want, I thought that was worth it.
We had asked some locals where they recommend to go for a good steakhouse. They told us Twin Creeks which is in the Silverton resort. The reviews on line were great there just weren't many of them. We decided to give it a shot. This place was great! It was like Ruth's Chris quality and atmosphere for about $100.00 total. So well worth it. Dh and I had tried Emerils Delmonico Steakhouse a couple years ago and spent a couple hundred on a meal, after going to Twin Creeks I will never go back to Delmonico. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
We went to the Vinny Favorito comedy show in the Flamingo. He was hilarious and tix were only about $50 each.
We won a couple hundred and lost a couple hundred probably broke about even in the end. Dh decided to get him and Tristan cowboy boots so I made him take me to the Coach store. Even trade 
All in all we had a wonderful trip. Even though it was short we used every minute to our advantage and just enjoyed each other. After 9 years of marriage even if it's 2 days away, it's worth it!

Yes, for the location and the hotel it was a great price. It's located between the Luxor and New York New York.
FYI, we also rented a car from Fox car rental for $14 a day. It was a great price. The only disadvantage renting from them is you have to take a shuttle from the airport rental car facility. So your taking two shuttles but they are half the price because they are off site from all the others.
