What is the deal with that giraffe?  It's everywhere.  WTH?  Can someone explain?  And can someone explain why they cost so much??

  • I had no idea she was expensive, or all that popular.  I thought it was just a teether that interested babies for a million reasons lol

sophie is really easy for infants to not only hold, the plastic they use to make it isnt bad for them and wont absorb smells/tastes etc, the spots are supposed to be really stimulating...but the best is hwo easy they are to hold/chew......EVERY baby i know that has a sophie LOVES IT <3

  • Sophie is fabulous!  All of my nieces and nephews had one and she was one of their favorite things.  Like Ashley said, she's easy for babies to grab hold of, and she has lots of little knobs that they can chew on.  And she's only $20.  A little pricey for a teething toy, but priceless when she can make a baby happy.

  • Wait, how is this a spin off? lol!

Unless I am totally missing something!

  • So everyone else has pretty much covered the explanation by now!

My nephew bought Sophie for Carter "because all babies love Sophie" and he always buys Sophie for new babies.  So she must be good!

Brooke - I haven't looked at that post again, but I am guessing it's because Sophie was in the background of a picture of overalls I posted...

Yeah.  That's all.  I just thought it was funny to make Sophie the Giraffe a spin off of Gangsta's Paradise.

I guess I don't get it. Sure she's cute, but she's a plastic giraffe.  But apparently, the old girl gets around.  You know if Harlow has one, it MUST be cool:

  • Logan might be the only kid in the world who doesnt have a Sophie because honestly it was twenty freaking dollars!! For a teether!!!!!!!!! I get the concept behind it but seriously $20!  So ya we never jumped on that bandwagon, well now that I think of it there are a lot of bandwagons I never jumped on so I dont feel so bad about not getting Sophie.

If you want a great teething toy that kids love and costs nothing but probably emits poison(ok that part is a joke) into their body get this thing. Logan loved it then and still loves it. And the best part is you can attach it to those ring things so it can go everywhere and you dont feel bad if you lose it.
