Update on my friend who had the heart attack

Hi ladies?

I wanted to send a quick update on my friend from work.

Yesterday morning was hard here at work?we had found out that my friend had had multiple cardiac arrest episodes on Monday between our office and the hospital.  They placed him in a medically induced coma and were keeping him iced?they were trying to preserve blood flow to his brain to prevent any damage and also to allow his heart some time to calm down so to speak.  They could only do that for about 24-hours so yesterday afternoon they began the process of bringing him back up to temperature and if his body could handle that they?d slowly bring him out of the coma.

That was successful and this morning we got the report that he had opened his eyes and was responding to simple commands like hand squeezing.  They have him mildly sedated only because he is still interbated (sp?) and they don?t want him fighting.  He isn?t totally out of the woods yet and has a long road ahead of him.  But the fact that he made it through the past 36-hours is miraculous.

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers?please continue to keep him and his family in yours prayers as they have a long road ahead.  But on a personal level I really do appreciate your support?he is a great friend and is far too young to leave this world just yet.  Thanks xxoo
