I know, don't we all want this? LOL
I'm a SAHM of 2 under 2. My H currently leaves at 3pm and works nights. This may change to a 2-week rotating shift in the near future. My H&I are the only free childcare we have. I do have a local bsitter who could come some nights and weekends but she paid.
I'm an accountant. But, I don't have to do accounting. I have worked retail and I was once a waitress.
My availability is M-F from 10 to 2:30, Sat and Sun.
I may do some occasional bsitting in my home. I could charge a little less since it would be here. On the weekends I may charge my regular rate and bsit outside the home. That's all I've really come up with.
Any suggestions? Throw it out there even if it seems wacky? Bonus points if my kids can come along, LOL.
Re: a really flexible p/t job??
Have you considered starting a "consulting" business and working for yourself? For example, I would love to have someone help me set up Quicken or Quickbooks and sort of get my business finances set up in a bit more sophisticated way than Excel spreadsheets... I know a bunch of other creative type business owners who might appreciate a little help setting things up. And personally I wouldn't mind if your kids came along too if they had to.
Thanks everyone! some great ideas!
I applied online to Hallmark and American greetings. something like that would be perfect!
ditribal - great suggestion - I haven't used those programs in about 13 years but it gives me something to think about!
Shannon,
