Thank you to Megan for reminding me to update you ladies, I have been in such a whirlwind that I completely forgot!
Surgery was on Monday, I dropped her off at 8AM and then tried to calm myself and not cry my eyes out the entire day. I decided to spend some time with the big dogs and took them to the dog park etc. Finally got an update at 1PM that everything went fine, she was already standing up in her kennel, I also had them do blood work since she was a rescue and I just figured I might want to know if I was going to have any other health surprises down the road.
I picked Khloe up yesterday, turns out that we have to do a lot to keep her "quiet." She has to be leashed to go out and carried outside, no stairs, no jumping, no being left alone unless in her kennel, for 6 weeks! AHHH!! I decided to take today off work to stay home with her, and all has been well so far.
This is her incision....
And her favorite place to sleep...
Re: Update: Khloe's surgery
Oh my goodness! Bless her little heart. That incision looks terrible!
I hope that the recovery doesn't take as long as they're expecting, and that you can find good ways to mentally exercise her so that she doesn't get stir crazy.
Good luck! Keep us posted. I'm glad to hear that she's back home!

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermI meant to comment on this, too (of course!). Dottie had a very minor surgery to remove a lump behind one of her teeth, and I started crying the second we walked into the vet's office. I'm sure they thought I was nuts!
I proceeded to be "that guy" that called more than once to check on her, and was there within five minutes of them telling me it was ok to pick her up.

We just dropped Jack off at the vet for his neutering, and I *may* have cried. (And by "may" I mean, "burst into tears at his sad pooch face and had to leave the office before they took him to the back.")
I'm glad Khloe's surgery went ok, and I hope she has a quick, smooth recovery!
Oh, I'm so sorry! I'm sure everything will go really well! But, yeah, that's the worst, when they turn around and look at you as they're being walked back
Dottie only did that when she got spayed, and it's because I had to put her in the kennel myself. Ever since then, they walk her back on her leash, and she doesn't even look back. She LOVES going to the vet, and loves all the attention she gets.
Keep us posted on Jack!

Oh, no! That's really sad
Poor little man!
But, yes, he'll be totally fine. You probably won't get much personality out of him tonight, but he'll be back to normal by tomorrow!
Oh...and I wish you were here so you could clean my house, too!

Don't worry Erica, I cried when we dropped Oscar off to be neutered and then called during my lunch break to check on the little guy.
