Come in if you've been to Minibar or other fancy places in the city...
I'm going to try to call today to get reservations for our 3rd anniversary.
I'm guessing I don't have much of a chance to get them, but I thought I would try anyways.
Anybody gotten reservations before? If I can't get them, anybody got other good reservations for a yummy awesome tasting menu in the city?
Volt is a little bit too far for us since we live in Arlington. Is Restaurant Eve any good?

Bah. We tried to get them for this coming Saturday and couldn't get in - DH called like 10 times in a row and it was constantly busy.
If that doesn't work, the tasting room at Restaurant Eve is AWESOME. Komi would also be a good one to try.
We ended up getting a reservation at CityZen instead - I'm hoping it's good!

I highly recommend Komi. It was one of the best meals I've had. Restaurant Eve is also great, and it's easier to get reservations there.
My plan is to call using my work phone and my cell phone and to just repeat, repeat, repeat starting at like 9:50. If only I had remembered my work BB, and then I could have had 3 phones going.
I will definitely check out Cityzen if we don't get reservations.

First on the waitlist! I'll make reservations elsewhere just in case we can't get off.

Funny, so was I. Maybe wine really does make that much of a difference.
Awesome! I haven never even managed to get through and I've tried A LOT. I must have terrible luck.
This.
Komi and Eve tasting room = heaven. They are very different experiences, but both fantastic.
If you still need a back-up, we went to PS7 for our 9th date-i-versary back in January and enjoyed the experience. It was very nice and great food and drink, but perhaps a bit more casual than what you're looking for.
Though you can't see it on their website, they have a 7-course menu where each course is paired with a cocktail. You sit at the bar, which makes it less formal, but the bartender makes you the frou-frou drinks and the chef/sous chef brings you the matching course, explaning everything and answering questions, etc. About 4 of the courses are fairly substantial and the other 3 are 2 or 3 bites. $107 pp. YUMMY.

Did they serve you the sparkling grape juice. It was my favorite part of the meal. It tasted nothing like juicy juice and everything like a complex glass of wine. It made me feel special.
