A few questions for all you moms...
1.When did your babies transition to 1 nap a day? I *think* Liza is trying to since she is fighting her morning nap soo bad and when she will nap it is a super quick one.
2. Do you think this outfit for Liza is too boring for our upcoming family pictures? I'm trying to work with what we've got already before I go out and buy anything. This would match a shirt that I wouldn't mind wearing.
This dress (sorry I can't make them clicky)

3. How the hell do you keep your houses neat (I'm not aiming for totally clean, just not a pit), cook dinner, play with your baby AND not go nutso?!
Thanks

Re: A few questions for all you moms...
1) Ben transitioned at about 11-12 months. Maddy is in the middle of it now. SHe wants a nap at 9:30 but then sleeps until noon and fights the afternoon one, leading to a baby awake for 7 hours and miserable. Not enjoying this transition.
2) I think it will be adorable!!!!!!!! I like plain colors near the baby's face, see the face better!
3) I don't - I go nutso. But honestly - naptime is when I do most of my cleaning, Ben gets some movie time when I have a lot to do, and cooking I try to only cook one or two weeknights, the rest on weekends and we eat leftovers for my sanity.

1. n/a, he's still a 2 nap baby! When he naps that is...
2. Super cute!!!
3. We are menu planning maniacs now. I never bought into it, but the last few weeks we have done it and it has worked awesome. DH and I take turns cooking. We usually end up eating around 8pm after Benjamin has gone to bed, but it is what it is. We did a major spring cleaning for his baptism, so now we just make sure to tidy up every evening, wipe down counters, do a quick sweep, etc. I make sure junk mail goes out right away so it isn't hanging around. I pick up stuff as I go around the house when I get home or when I'm getting ready for work. I have become a master multitasker. I couldn't do it all if I didn't do a million things at once.right now my house is a mess but I am sick.
What works for us is we both have our own "jobs". We never sat down and said you do this, I will do this...we fell into them! The rule with laundry is once it is done it gets put away nothing sitting around. We cook dinner on sundays for the week, we pickup all the toys everynight. Unless we are sick the house gets picked up every night. Our bed is never made(unless pp are coming over) but that is because the cats likes to sleep on it and Jon hate kicking her off(he is soooo weak). We try hard to stick to this but we have off weeks..like right now.
1. D was around 1 and E was around 4-6 months... They usually picked AM nap first and wouldn't go down for PM. then we slowly worked it back to nap after lunch.
2. super cute outfit!
3. crockpot or do dinner when DH gets home, don't worry about the being neat part too much anymore. i clean the kitchen while the eat and then on weekends i try and catch up on things. i have learned that we (kids and i) function better when we play/interact more... so i really try to limit my crazy
I wanna say around 15 months for both kids but don't quote me. I know for a fact that Christian was done napping in general at age 2. As soon as we transitioned him to his big bed (in prep. for Gianna's birth) naps were history.
I think the outfit is adorable. I am a big fan of simple yet tasteful clothes on kids.
it took me a while to get to the point where I stop stressing about my house and how neat & clean it is. Like this took me about 3 years. I have finally decided that I am not going to use my 2-3 hours a day with the kids cleaning. I have small children and a messy house. Get over it. Anyone who is going to judge me isn't worth my time. I work full time, have a part time job or take grad classes, and train for races. I am busy and I like it! So yeah it took me a while to get to this place!
1: Ethan moved to one afternoon nap around 18 months. He stopped napping altogether a year later.
2. I like cute and simple!
3. DH and I work different schedules so his 2 Saturdays off a month we do a sorta power cleaning until lunch then hang out the rest of the day. It does help that Ethan is old enough now to help me out a little, picking up toys and putting a few things away. I have to be super organized and plan meals and whatnot though otherwise its chaos! I pack lunches at night, get out everyone's clothes, shower, pay bills so all that needs to get done the next day when I get home is dinner.
