Thoughts and Prayers Please
Just got off the phone with my oldest, closest friend. Her mom has been fighting brain cancer for several years. (I posted a couple months back about the doctors telling them the chemo stopped working and there wasn't anything else to try.)
Her mom died this afternoon. I am a wreck - her mom watched me grow up. She and her brother knew it was coming, and her mom has been slipping a lot since January. She had a stoke the start of Feb. and has been pretty unable to talk, move much, etc. She's been in hospice. My friend was with her when she went - her brother got there about 5 minutes later.
It is so sucky. Her step-dad (who raised her since she was 2 or 3 and has been basically the only father she knew growing up) died unexpectedly 6 or 7 years ago. It's so sad, because this family is the most caring, giving, sweet, generous people you could ever know.
If you could spare some thoughts and prayers, I would sure appreciate it. Thanks ladies.

im so so sorry for you and for all of them. i know exactly what you are all going through, unfortnuately...and its still very raw for me too, even after 2 months.
sending my happiest thoughts to them (and you!), while knowing full well that what they are faced with is one of the hardest things in life to deal with.
be there for them when they want and understand they that may not want to go out or even talk for a long time...the whole things just drains your spirit right out of you. just knowing that you love them so much will be comforting to them.
