Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Good News and Bad News
Good News - We normally have to work on good Friday. Well we just got a email that we have that day off!
Bad News - My initial reaction to hearing we get next Friday off is that we will not be getting raises. Two years ago they upped our vacation days because we did not get a raise. Crossing my fingers we still get a raise.
And we may get a raise....normally the industry I am in we have to work the Friday after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve since it is our busy time and when we make the most money during that time. Well the people in our home office get those days off because all they do is paper pushing and do not deal with customers or anything. The whole company recently submitted a "grade" sheet for all the higher ups in the company and my boss said he thinks that was one thing that was brought up was the difference in holidays and how unfair it is. So we are thinking they might be leveling the playing field so to speak because people have complained. I know my group of guys was one of them.

Yay for getting Good Friday off. That does not seem fair that home office gets off and you guys don't, so hopefully that is why you guys are getting off next Friday.

It sounds to me like they are listening to their employees, and want to be fair and keep you guys all happy.
