Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. XP: Euchre Night - part deaux
Alright ladies, so I have a list of 26 women interested in euchre night. Wowza! The way I worked it last time was that I chose a date that worked for me and then emailed women an invite in order that they responded to the initial interest thread. As people declined I moved to the next name on the list. So now I am trying to figure out the fairest method of doing it this time. So I am thinking we'll do it just like a sports draft does.
For those of you who don't watch sports, that means that we'll go in reverse order on the list this time. So the first name on the list last time (Mrs.Moher) will be in last position this time and the person on the lowest position (Riabiron) will be first.
We had 3 full tables (12 people) last time and I am thinking I could fit one more reasonably well. For those who came last time, do you think I could fit another table or is 16 people too unwieldy?
I am going to take a look at my calendar and choose a date in the next day or two. I am hoping for mid to late May.
Is there anyone who wants to be added to the interest list?
OH, and several people contacted me about couples euchre nights so I have an interest list of that floating around too. Anyone want their name added to that one?
My only other "condition" is that I have to be convinced you're not insane. Everyone who was invited last time was someone I had met IRL. So no random internet stalkers. I have met a boatload of Nesties thanks to book club, cookie swap, etc so most of you are okay. But if you're a SN with only a handful of posts, I am probably not going to add you to the list unless someone can vouch for you or we have met, etc. Sorry, ladies. Safety first.

I had a really fun time the last go 'round and thought the round robbin-ing? was an excellent way to get to know people.

OK, I have played with family.... but I'm not very good. Are you guys euchre sharks or do you play nice? LOL
I'll check with DH about couples night but I think he will be game.
Christine & Shyntrue: You don't have to know how to play but a basic online tutorial or downloading an app might be a good idea. Last time I limited newbies to one per table and will probably do the same thing this time. A lot of the newbies found apps to be helpful. We aren't vicious at all. Everyone was very patient with the newbies and they all picked it up quickly.
Pirate: You're on the list and you're the first newbie position.
