  • We live in Leesburg, so we've never stayed there, but if that's where you end up I can give tons of restaurant/bar reccs and some local wineries too!

  • We stayed there for our first anni since we literally got married right across the street (Birkby House)! We woke up and could look out the window at the spot where we said our I Dos. :)

Our experience might be different -- we had the entire house to ourselves since we were there on a Sunday to Monday. We played games in our PJs in the living room area because no one else was around, etc. We walked to dinner at Lightfoot, went antique shopping, etc. Be sure to check out the local wineries (we enjoyed Tarara most). It might be too early for farmers' markets, but we got some good fruit, pies, etc., on the drive to Tarara.

The owner (British) was super nice and helpful too. He made us blueberry pancakes with peach preserves and had this huge buffet of other food just for us!

If you post or PM your e-mail, I can forward you a few pictures of the house, room, etc. We loved it.

booked us for two nights in june! i will definitely take restaurant & winery recs - thanks :) we definitely plan to go to chrysalis (loved them at winefest last year) and maybe three fox vineyards since they have sangiovese and we're big chianti fans.

  • have not been to Norris Inn but if you like red wine- check out Hiddencroft Vineyards. It is a friend of a friend's vineyard and they have great wine! Plus, the property is gorgeous.

ps- did you ever hear anything?
