* camedown *

When's your anatomy scan? Are you finding out the sex? Ours is on Monday and DH is making me find out.

I'll let you know how Baby Budoir is this weekend... it's such a hike but DH researched it and felt it would be worth the trek down there.

Re: * camedown *

  • Mine is Wednesday.  I do not want to find out at all, and DH is trying to pressure me into it!  I don't know what is going to happen.

    We got our furniture!  We ended up going with Young America in W. Newton.  We have two of the pieces in, but I have not decided which crib I want yet.  I think we are going to go back next weekend so I can take a final look.  They said the crib would take up to 8 weeks to come in so I need to make a decision soon.

    Did you ever go to the tag sale last weekend?

  • That's awesome that you have things already lined up... we don't have many free weekends so I'm hoping to get things figured out shortly. Good luck with the battle-- I lost. DH is just not budging and says he's going to panick (or get shingles again) if he doesn't know. It makes me sad but I know he's not budging.

    I'm not sure which tag sale you're referring to? I might send DH over to Young America one day he's actually home and in the office to check it out.

  • There was a tag sale last Saturday in Chelmsford.  They have one every spring and every fall.  I went, but didn't get much.  There was a lot of clothing, but not a ton of gear.

    DH and I were on the same page about not knowing, and then he changed his mind.  I don't know why it is so important to know as I am still planning on buying all gender neutral things so that we can use them in the future.  We'll see!  Ha ha ha.

    We really liked the Young American stuff...especially the cribs.  They have one that is stripped down to show the construction, and they told DH and I we could both sit in it!  It is built really well.

  • You and I are on the same page then-- I don't understand the difference in preparing if it was a girl or a boy. We aren't big into gender themed things (well, I'm not... DH thinks he wants a sports theme if it's a boy)... but most things I want are totally gender neutral.

    I bought my BFFs baby a ton of boy clothes, and as a girl, she looks stinking cute in her camo overalls and non-pink shirts. (I swore it was a boy but tried to buy as gender neutral as possible and most everything could be worn to look like either sex).

    ETA: I totally forgot about the tag sale-- I think you mentioned it before. Bummer!

  • You didn't really miss out.  I got a tub which was great!  That was about it.  I think I may go to some yard sales once the weather is really good.

    DH I think wants to do more "boy" things with the nursery if it is a boy.  He thinks green is not really neutral.  I think green, yellow, and red are perfectly neutral colors so that is what I have been buying stuff in.
