WW Girls: Come in!

Ive been WWing for a month now.  I just do online, no meetings.  Just wondering what your typical day consists of.  Ive been eating oatmeal and fruit for breakfast and Smart Ones for lunch pretty much everyday for the past month and im bored.  I need new ideas!  So what do you eat?

Re: WW Girls: Come in!

  • I do oatmeal & fruit for breakfast always.

A PB & Banana deli flat as a snack mid morning.

For lunch i'll make a chef salad (Deli rollups w/cheese), salad w/ hard boiled egg, grilled chicken. Or a 2.5 oz turkey sandwich on a deli flat or ww bread with mustard L&T. I never ever eat the smart ones since the plan changed. Not worth the points and not filling enough.

Dinner, I LOVE skinnytaste.com. Black bean chicken chilli, slow cooker shredded chicken, Ziploc steamer bags are AWESOME. Turkey burgers with grilled vidalia onion, turkey meatloaf.

And lots and lots of fruit for snacking. I also make ths baked apple thing for dessert. Peel and core 6 apple, 1/4 cup margarine, 1/4 brown sugar, 1/2 cup real  oatmeal, some cinnamon and bake at 350 until apples are tender. 1 cup is only 2 points. Its filling, satisfies my sweet tooth and its delish.

  • Thank You, Thank You!!  I forgot all about those deli flats!!  i got them a while ago for L...she loved grilled cheese and PBJ on them. I dont even know why i stopped buying them...but I am def getting them again!   i agree with you on the points for those meals...although they are yummy, i am still hungry after i eat them AND they are so many points. that website is a big help too...everything looks yummy  and easy.  and i think i will be making this apple thing this wkend!  Thanks for all the suggestions, K!!  much appreciated!

  • When I did WW, I also survived on sugar free energy drinks to keep me going and fill me up.  I ate a Fiber One bar and a Dannon Light yogurt for breakfast (3 points).  I ate salads with cucumbers and the spray dressing (10 sprays = 1 pt).  I loved the Progresso Light soups but they are only 0 points for HALF the can (1.5 pts for the entire can, I believe).  I ate Lean Cuisines but never ones that went above 5 points.  I used to eat a lot of grilled chicken or lemon pepper chicken.  Lots of fruit, pickles (0 points!!) and pickles.  Instead of ice cream, I would eat an Italian ice if I had a craving.  I also loved the freeze dried fruit they sell in little packets at Costco --apples, pears, and strawberry/banana combo.  I also NEVER used real sugar -- only Splenda in everything.  Hope that helps!  I had lost 35lbs and kept it off for over 2 years.  I can't wait to get back into again after this baby is born!

  • I just do online too and it's been working for me.  I'm down almost 25 lbs since January.  Here's some of the typical stuff I eat:

    Breakfast:

    Egg Whites

    Turkey Bacon

Special K with small amount of skim milk

    Mixed Fresh Fruit

    Weight Watchers Toast or Bagel

Lunch:  These vary from when I'm at work or can cook at home on the weekend.

Smart Ones - only when I'm at work.  They're easy and since I'm so busy I don't usually have time to get hungry afterwards :)

Salad with grilled chicken, veggies & basalmic vinegar

    Soup (Cambells Healthy Request)

Grilled Cheese - using WW bread & WW cheese

Leftovers from night before (grilled meats & veggies)

    Snacks:

    Fruit

Fresh Sugar Snap Peas (looove them)

    Edemame

Slimfast Snack Bars (they're only 3 points!)

    Nabisco 100 calorie snacks

WW Ice Cream or Skinny Cow Ice Cream bars

    Dinner:

mostly anything, just cutting down on portion size & eliminating sauces.  I eat a lot of grilled meats, fish & veggies.  I completely cut out white rice & potatoes and only eat a small amount of brown rice now and then.  I haven't had a potato since January!    Pasta is rare and we eat either the whole wheat kind or the dreamfields pasta.

GL and if you need any advice I'm here for you.

  • Now I feel better about this diet...I was starting to get bored and that always leads me to FAIL!  But thanks to these great sugestions,im feeling better about it!!And its great to know I can come here for some WW support!  thanks ladies!

I did WW 10 years ago and lost a ton of weight (75+)lbs. I was probably the WW rogue.  I never ever planned a meal...I did it all on the fly.  I found the key to be variety....I would rotate the breakfasts (yogurt, oatmeal, vitamuffins, etc.) and would have a big lunch and smaller dinner.  I ate Smart Ones but onl in a pinch and tried to just eat regular stuff in smaller portions.

  • breakfast-  usually fiber one cereal, sometimes i would mix yogurt with fruit a small amount of granola and coconut.  or a pancake with fruit.  if im in a rush a muffin (make them myself- really they are sues.)

lunch- i did a lot of smart ones too.  or soups.

dinner- i always just made whatever i would normally make, but it put the recipe in the online tracker and made sure i ate an appropriate portion.

snacks- greek yogurt was the go to.  or a fiber bar.  or fruit.

desserts/ sweets- again i made or ate my regular stuff a lot and would just enter it online so i knew what i was eatting.  but also the WW dark chocolate raspberry bars (still eat this all the time).  or skinny cow ice cream sandwiches.  and fiber plus has a coconut chocolate bar that tastes like samoas cookies.
