TGIF! Tiring week be gone. Gorgeous weather last night, perfect for sleeping.
Last night I got my brows waxed and had to wait 5 minutes outside the door listening to a mother/daughter team *** and moan and demand the Asians take more and more off of their eyebrows, which were hideous to begin with. It was insane.
I got home, emptied the dishwasher, packed my lunch (which I did not need to do as I have a lunch meeting), ate and watched The Chicago Code on DVR, then MFD and I watched Criminal Minds. He snoozed and I cleaned the bathroom, dusted and vacuumed upstairs, and laid stuff out for today. I got into bed with mags and flipped between the Phils and Flyers. I was conked out at 10:30.
What's exciting this weekend? Tonight I have the Relay For Life Fashion Show. Tomorrow I need to run a bunch of errands: DMV, Produce Junction, CVS, etc. Plus some spring hausfrauing, listing of items on craigslist, etc.
We are pug sitting for two other pugs from today until next Saturday, so we will be a four pug home for the week.
Re: Holler at me, Friday!
Good Morning!
My night went as follows: bed around 10:30, DH's pager goes off around 11:30 a kid swallowed a quarter and he gets called in to take it out. He comes back around 2:30 and wakes me up again. Then my darling cat decides that 6:30 is the perfect time for breakfast. I could kill her.
I am heading out tonight for martini's and dinner with a friend and I'm really excited about my girlie night! And I just placed a huge order with Sephora (they are having a 15% off sale - code BICHIC sign up to be a 'beauty insider" - free if you haven't already!) I can't wait to get my new beauty goodies!
My weekend will consist of finally finishing bar applications....
Stephanie - I tried a spending freeze as my new year's resolution - it lasted until about the end of Feb - which I am pretty impressed with then it all blew up when I ordered 5 pairs of shoes (not my fault endless was having a sale) Good Luck!
I got: Flower bomb perfume from Victor and Rolf; Nars eyeliner; Stila eyeshadows in Kitten and Eden; and Urban Decay eyeshadow primer. I've been on a beauty kick recently I bought Nars blush in Orgasm a few weeks ago - love.
Morning! So glad it's Friday.
DH ran a bunch of work errands last night, so I was home alone all night. Made dinner for moi and pug, emptied dishwasher, put away 3 loads of laundry and started a fourth, gave pug a bath, washed my own hair and blowdried, watched Hereafter w/ Matt Damon and also watched ABDC on MTV. They have a crew of 10 yr old boys from Jersey dancing their little butts off. Too cute.
Woke up at 5 to straighten my hair (can you imagine planning so much time around preparing hair?), went to Starbucks (hello venti drip, I heart you) and surprised my work bestie w/ a gc to the grocery store. She's a single mom, working 2 jobs and still can't seem to put food on the table on a reg basis. I got my tax return back, so I shared a little w/ her.
Tonight is a Mammoth game and then absolutely nothing the rest of the weekend. Very excited to do nothing.
Steph, 4 pugs, I'm SO jealous! I would love all that chaos. And I meant to tell you, I watched an episode of Tori & Dean weddings (judge away) and the couple had a pug chic theme. Their two pugs were ring bearers, it was a jewish wedding and they both wore mini yarmulkes. Absofreaking adorable!!!!!!!!
Nars blush in Orgasm is my number one blush pick! I love it. Oozing jealousy over your fabulous purchases.
I am on a Need vs. Want soul search. I want so many things, and need for really nothing, so I must get my spending habits in check. Will I stop shopping? No. But my goal is to not shop as frequently and not buy so many things I don't need.
TGIF!
Angie - Love Sephora. I just dropped a crapton of money there two days ago.
Last night, I got the last little bit of things for the party. I still feel like I need more but there will only be 6 girls so I should be good. I took a bubble bath and read, did a load of laundry, thought about packing but decided against it. I'm going to leave early today so I can pack (should've done it last night but oh well), clean up a little and get on the road. I'm stopping at my parents to get some sugar from my nephew and then headed to Albany to see Jeremy.
Tomorrow, I get to leave for Jax by 7:30, drive another 4 hours there, enjoy the beach, make some cocktails and then party all night (ha, I'll be lucky if I make it to midnight). I really, really, REALLY wish I wasn't going to Albany tonight and just drive straight to Jacksonville since I'm going to use so much effin gas getting down there. One day, I will grow a pair.
I'm done complaining (sorry).
Ah, Misty, my dogs stink. I need to get them in the bath.
You ROCK for helping out your work bestie. That makes my heart sing.
Pug chic. Wedding redo! That picture is too cute.
That was so sweet of you! I'm sure it made her day.
You sound just like me on Jan. 1! I really don't need anything that I currently buy and since I'm currently in school and making NO money I figured it would be a great time to stop buying crap I don't need. Does anyone actually need 3 pairs of neutral pumps? - NO but I bought them all in the same freakin week because I have no control. I think I might need a shop-aholic program. I definitely need help.
I am allowed to purchase a pair of shorts since last year's are falling right off, and I need another work skirt. So those are approved purchases before June 1. hahaha
I am so lame, I already have a list of things I want to purchase when June 1 comes. It includes: new storage for flour, sugar, brown sugar, corn meal. Sheets (sage). Neutrogena rain bath. Essie in splash of grenadine and topless and barefoot.
Frrrrrriday! How I've missed you.
I came home last night and found more ants in our kitchen. I know its really common in spring and I know the exterminator said we'd see them for the next 7-10 days until they're all dead, but EWW!
I was so grossed out I went on a cleaning spree and managed to get everything done but the laundry and the bedroom in less than 2 hours. H was looking at me like I grew a second head. I'm hoping he'll straighten up the bedroom today and possibly was clothes.
I'm impatiently waiting for the Costco near work to open. I'm going to buy a Keurig and then drop kick our old coffee pot straight out the front door. Then I'm heading over to Target to buy the first part of the final Harry Potter movie and a Bissell Spot Bot Pet to get rid of the cats accidents on the carpet. I may even stop by the Amish farmers market on my way to the bank. Thats the one good thing about my job, I can easily go run my errands during the day and no one cares.

Let me know what you think of it. It was on our registry, noone got it for us and we never bought it w/ our gift cards. I'm regretting the decision, but I'm afraid it's not heavy duty enough for pug vomit
Happy Friday!! I am SO excited for the long weekend! Monday is Boston Marathon Monday which is a big deal around here so I'm looking forward to just hanging out all weekend and maybe enjoying a cook out! Monday is a floating holiday for H so he can either take it off or use it later in the year. He is leaning towards saving it for our vacations coming up next month and in September =(. It will be nice to have a day to myself though!
Just gotta last until 4:30 today then time to enjoy a nice long weekend of sleeping in, killing the last of this cold I've got, maybe going out shopping for my outfit for the gala I posted about next month, etc and possibly going into the city tomorrow.
Sounds like it was a rough week for a bunch of us - glad we all powered through!!
Nichole - I'm waiting for our spring ants to arrive. Shiver.
Misty - we got one for Christmas, not sure of the exact make but I will look it up for you. It works fine on pug puke and also Geege's peeps (we adopted a marker. Wah).
yay for Friday! I cleaned the house a little last night. Finally did my taxes. Greg and I were better off filing seperate this year. Next year though we are going to get a boat load back! With the baby, the car we just bought, I wont be working my waitress job much longer that always sucks up alot of my refund, I can't wait:)
I loved Patriots Day Ciitygirl, enjoy your day off:)
I actually only have to work half day monday and have tuesday and wednesday off all for passover. Hopefully I will be feeling well and can get alot of stuff done around the house.
Hapoy Friday! It's been a loooong week and I'm glad the weekend is almost here. Last night at training we saw a powerful movie about domestic violence and religion. Oh, it was so heart breaking to hear the women's stories. There was one in particular that had everyone crying by the end of it. Sorry, that's kind of a downer.
No major plans for the weekend. Rich and I are going to dinner in San Jose and using a gift certificate we bought from Living Social. On Sunday I just want to relax at home and clean house. Nothing exciting for us.
Angie- So jealous of your Sephora purchase!
Brew- That is so sweet of you!
LTB- Richard and I hate ants
Who am I missing...
Good Morning!
This week I've been on furlough from work so I'm sad for Friday since I'll be back at work on Monday and away from Don again.
Last night we were over at SIL's place...BIL walked out on 3 weeks ago. I always thought she'd thrown him out, but he decided to walk out on her and my niece. Don's been going over there a few times a week since it happened and since I was finally back in the area we were over there last night. I even cooked dinner for them...SIL was so appreciative. She's not upset anymore she's just pissed and wants it all to go away for my niece whose so confused and is acting out. Don and I are going back over there tonight to hang out and I'm sure I'll be over there this weekend too. My SIL isn't the greatest person, but I feel so bad for her and my niece.
Hi all!
Brew - that was awesome of you. Totally makes me smile.
Yesterday I finished up 2/3rds of our taxes and only have the Michigan state return left to do. Here is to hoping I didn't screw anything up.
I have today, Saturday, and Sunday completely off. Tomorrow I am going to watch the local high school's grand march for prom as my nephews and niece are going to prom and my one nephew is one prom court. When did they get so old?!
Today DH and I are meeting with MIL for lunch. I am super nervous about it because I know she is going to try to drag out what is going on with BIL (his gf is pregnant). It is not our place to tell her and BIL is coming home next weekend to tell his parents in person. Any good thoughts you can send our way would be awesome.
haha everytime me and H take a shower together he says 'what is that horrible smell'. Eventhough he knows it's my soap he justs wants to point out my soap stinks. I think it smells clean!
Happy Friday All!
I was out sick Tuesday, out sick half a day Wednesday, and out all day yesterday to a nasty stomach virus, and I am still getting over it today but needed to come to work so i'm here. Hints my lack of being on the board the past couple of days.
Today I have a million things to do after work. First I must go to Best Buy and get the new Harry Potter, has been my highlight of the whole week knowing this will be out today. Then I have to go to my moms and let out her dog, which I have been doing since monday while shes in Chicago for a conference. Then I have to stop by the alteration lady and pick up my BM dress, hope it fits now! Then go and get raunchy bachlorette gifts for soon to be SIL bachlorette party Saturday. Then pick up my mom from the airport about 10pm and take her back home.
And tomorrow I need to go to the car detailing place and get my car detailed because I think the rest of the bridal party will be riding with me tomorrow and I want to have a clean car. So i'm sure that will easily take an hour or more. I need to go by an ATM and pull out cash for the evening. Then get ready for the party. I migh tmove getting her gifts to Saturday during the day so I don't have to rush around tonight.
I will be so happy for my H to get home on Sunday!! He left yesterday to go shark fishing/bachelor party thing for BIL.
I have the bissell little green portable and LOVE it! It has gotten blue yogurt and red koolaid out of my carpets that are a tan/white.
3278687 years late, and all i want to contribute is--misty, i love any reality show that tori and dean have.
Blog
This is my favorite, love it!
I'm heading in to the store tomorrow to pick stuff up, as I'm too impatient for their shipping. The coupon comes at a good time, because I'm out of a few big ticket items, like the primer that I always buy in the big $50 tube.
Yay for Friday! Yesterday I felt like poo-poo, scratchy throat, little energy, and just blah. ended up going to urgent care to have a throat culture done but today I feel so much better; I think it was allergy related, my cats must be shedding their winter coat.
Last night after dinner, James and I took Allie, our dog, to Petsmart to get more canned cat food. Love taking this dog on a ride, she rides in the car so well and even turns around to watch the cars behind us
.
This weekend - finally start hanging some pics up on our bare walls, maybe paint one or two walls of our master bedroom, wash my vehicle and on Sunday is a 1st birthday for my cousins baby. Bummed that James has to work all weekend but I'll bring him home a slice of cake.
IUI #1 10/12/11 (Bravelle + HCG + Prometrium & acupuncture) = 10/26 BFP! Beta #1=250, Beta #2= 615. 1st u/s 11/8.
Im fracking tired!!! That's really it...
Some guys I worked with are in a band and are playing tonight so we are going to go watch them along with a gm :-) Im excited but at the same time would like to use my childfree night to lounge and do nada...
Tomorrow Toby is announcing for the Special Olympics weight lifting qualifier.
Then Sunday he has Peaks to Prarie (Triathalon) to announce at the finish.
I'm pretty sure its going to be awesome. I had 4 people on the E board tell me that its freaking amazing and 3 people on the cleaning board over here. I'm definitely going to use it tonight when I get home so I'll give you a detailed review then.

Tee hee, I was mortified at the time, but couldn't change the channel. And I actually liked it
