Yesterday did it for me. Since we moved in about 2 years ago, almost everytime we walk out our door our neighbors HAVE to talk to us. Not just a wave from their yard, they walk over and blab for 20+ minutes.
We cant have a nice peaceful dinner on our deck, they come over. We cant have people over outside, they come over. One time I was nursing DS on the couch and they (the grandmother, daughter and 2 girls) rang my side door bell, front door bell, looked in the bay window, then came around back and were peering in the sliding door. WHO DOES THAT? DH was on a ladder fixing the flood light and next I know neighbor man is hanging out of his bedroom window talking to DH. Then a few minutes later the wife was in our driveway, DH had to come down from the ladder and BS with her. ENOUGH people.
They also have a daughter my age with 2 daughters about 5 and 7. They are NOT normal. More annoying then any child ive ever encountered in my LIFE. They invade your personal space, pull your hands here and there, touch you, play with your hair, wont STFU and both talk at the same time, one time one was zipping my zipper up and down on my hoodie. They come running over and harass DS everytime I walk outside and get all in his face, trying to pick him up, touching face kissing him. I dread the warmer weather bc I have to stay inside of my own house to avoid them.
Well yesterday, I took DS outside for a walk, the daughter's car pulls up and the girls jump out (in the middle of street), ask me a million questions, I barely heard anything. Next thing I know, they are on our walk with us. WHY the F*CK am I now responsible for these girls walking in the road while carrying a toddler? I didnt have him the stroller. It was going to be a quick walk to see the dog down the street. Arghhhhhhh. I had to tell them 50 times to get out of the street.
We are about to spend $9,000 on a fence just to *try* to shut them out. Its ridiculous.

He's pretty funny. Your cousin was here too -- hearing the two of them interacting with each other was the real fun!

how annoying. I would not have been happy having to keep an eye on the other 2 while in the road. Like you don't have your hands full.
Ha Chris, I say this all the time to DH too, but I'd seriously be pissed if people were all up in our business like your neighbors Kendra.
Sooooo annoying!!! Perfect way to try to stop them! but sounds like they just might open it up anyway
i'm afraid my husband is like your neighbors
he loves socializing with our neighbors, but i try to hold him back sometimes! we seem to be in a very friendly neighborhood - lots of poeple standing around and chatting, so maybe he's not that bad/different from the rest.
your fence is worth every penny!
Whaaaaaaa? That's some crazy talk right there. I hate strangers. HATE.

I feel your pain we have neighbors like that. My one dog is agressive towards other dogs which i told everyone around us. Then the 1st day were were her she was outside on a run and the one lady let her dog out and thought it would be ok if she let them say hi. My dog beat the crap out of her. I simply said I explained that she was mean and did not get along with any other dogs and please dont them get to know each other anymore. The lady was fine and apologized.
Then the lady across the road lets her dog wonder on our yard (and around the whole street) her dog shits all over the place and went into the back yard and my dog once again bit her and left a wound. She bitched like no other to my dh, he told her our dog was leashed on our property and she should keep her dog off our yard. the lady said "well she always have been allowed to go onto your yard, its not fair for her!!"
ps my dog is 14 pounds and we talking beating up at lest 40 pound dogs. And i would be the 1st one to pay up if my dog was to go to someones house and beat another dog up. but she was on our property!!!!
We also have another guy who is a major creep! Whenever he sees us outside he has to come over, when we re landscaped he said to my DH "Oh trying to outdo everyone huh? Always gotta one up us?" Umm no you should be happy that we are finally upgrading the 50 yr old house that no one has done anything with since it was built! But anyways when he comes i make a run for it and use the house phone to call dh to make it seem like he has to take the call.
Exactly this... for us it's a quick hi and maybe a 2 minute convo at the mailboxes. I would be so annoyed too! Make sure the gate is on the other side of your house! LOL
Ditto!

Hello. I've waited here for you. Everlong<3<br>
margie you forget i live in the counnnntry LOL
Say something.
This is where I am vocal towards them. Psycho across the street calls DH before he touches my property because he knows I will tell him to go the F home. I hate him. He knows this I think since I threatened him with guns after he tried to introduce himself drunk and high at 11pm in the rain after we moved in.
Other neighbors walked up to DH and tired to walk into our garage and DH hit the door button and put it down, he got the point and never came back.
Next door people- need to watch their kids before I freak at them for opening the bird cage (we caught them) and playing with our dog (or torturing it I should say).
All others we wave/honk and say hi and that is it. I have 7 mailboxes on my front lawn for road across street who are a wave only friendship.
