For those that have crown molding, where do you have it?
Do you think its weird to only do it in the bedrooms? or specific rooms?
I have odd angles and lower ceilings in parts of my hallway, so I'm thinking of only doing it int the bedrooms upstairs. Would you do all rooms or just the master?
Re: Crown molding anyone?
I think it's fine to only have it in some rooms and not others.
You can do it wherever you want, but you are right to think about ceiling heights and consistancy.
I most commonly see it in common rooms....living, dining, great rooms, etc. Sometimes bedrooms, but not as often, unless the whole house is done.
Just think about it as if you were walking through an open house and critiquing where they placed it. That'll answer what your taste and functionality are.

The wall paper is down, walls smoothed out, and I think I have a paint color picked. However, if we are going to do crown molding in there.. we do that before painting. We are going to have a contractor do it because he is also installing a french door for us. I did paint our master a couple weekends ago. I like to have many projects going on at once
How are your projects?

I think you can put it anywhere you want it.
Our master has it and our kitchen. Our kitchen looks awesome with it because it finishes off the cabinets. And it makes our master look cohesive with as large as it is.
That sucks. I'd repaint it!
