I did it. It was very hard. She pleaded and pleaded with me to stay. Told me she can't do it without me, I'm too valuable, everyone loves me, she'll change and so on and on. I told her straight that she is making me miserable and she needs to know that the way she speaks to everyone is unacceptable. She asked me to tell her when she's doing it and I asked her if anyone else does and she said no. She really is blind to it.
She's pretty much gone for the next 3 weeks on and off so I told her I would stay till May 13 to help find and train a replacement and I also offered (my own choice) to work NO MORE than 10 hours a week FROM HOME ONLY as an independent contractor and be the webmaster but it will be on my terms. I also said I'd be glad to go down to Conference with them but I am ending my employment in the office. These were my suggestions, not hers, and I do want to maintain a relationship with the organization if I do ever want her job someday!
I feel like a huge weight has been lifted and I am going to be so much happier.
Re: Well....
Snuggle.
Yay!! I think it would be great if you could keep up a relationship with the organization by helping with website stuff from home (since there's no reason you should have to go into the office to do that) and helping out at the conference.
I'm so glad you've made this decision!! I think it was long overdue.

Glad you did it! You are way more generous than I would have been about notice. But I will say that you need to make sure you follow through on working only on your terms, I can see her trying to weasel her way to get you to work/do more. You are just too nice and I would hate to see you in an unhappy situation again.
At least she won't really be there the next few weeks, so hopefully it will make your notice period fly!
I would contact your board member contact and tell her exactly what you told your boss. I don't trust her not to do things behind your bad. Just to CYA.
