Little Tikes 3 in 1 trike? Any experience?

MIL wants to buy this for Lucas.

While it's very sweet of her, I'm kind of 'eh' on it.  I have a regular stroller, running stroller, and umbrella stroller (which I've never used).  Do I really need another thing to push him in?  Will it still be fun as a trike later?

  • I do think it would be fun later as a trike...and even now I think it would be fun to push them in as the stroller isn't always a favorite option and the trike give them fun without you losing control of where they're going, if that makes sense.  Brogan would still enjoy that now I think as he hasn't completely mastered his own trike (it's still a little big for him).

  • We don't have one yet but we plan on getting something similar for C for his 2 year birthday next month.  We wont use it as a stroller but we want him to learn to ride a trike without us having to be bent in half to help. :-)

  • We have something similar:

and my DS loves it. This winter we had it indoors with the hande underneath it so he could rock on it. Now we have the handle up and he loves to be pushed around. It's not something I would use to replace a stroller, however it would be fun to push him on it while we were on a walk. I do think DS will love it later on as a trike as well.
