Random Poll: Medicine storage

I've heard it's not good to keep medicines in a bathroom because of humidity. I'm not sure if this is a warning worth following or not. So...

Re: Random Poll: Medicine storage

  • Ours are in the bathroom medicine cabinet. but I keep vitamins in the kitchen.

  • Some of ours are in the bathroom, but  most are in the linen closet on a higher shelf - we have one basket with all our meds and one basket for the dogs' meds.

  • Ugh, they're all over the damn place and it makes me crazy.  Our medicine cabinet isn't very deep, so we can only store so many in there.  Stuff we use less often is under the bathroom sink.  Stuff DH takes each morning and a bottle of ibuprofen are in the kitchen, in a basket on top of the microwave.  Kid meds are in the kidlet's medicine cabinet.

  • bedroom.

The medicine cabinet in the bathroom is super tiny, so we have a 3 drawer rubbermaid thing in the bedroom that we keep all meds in.

I also keep a little basket in my nightstand for my prescriptions/vitamins/daily pills so I remember to take them every morning.  If they were anywhere else, I would forget.

  • Ones we would use more often (like Tums, Tylenol, and my PNV) are in the kitchen. Others that we wouldnt use too often are in the hall closet upstairs in a storage container with the first aid stuff. All of this is on the top shelf.
  • Ah I'm jealous of those of you with a linen closet or hall closet! Our stupid house is missing one.

    Ugh, us too!

Towels and sheets are stacked precariously in our closet (thank goodness the master bedroom has a relatively spacious closet - the other two bedrooms have TINY ones) and all the toiletries/meds have to go under the bathroom sink.  I HATE it.  I grew up in a house with a linen closet and I miss it.

  • Everything that isn't a narcotic, if kept either under the sink or in the medicine cabinet.  If it's a narcotic, we lock them up in the safe.  DH's family will raid our bathroom and take them, if they are there.  Very sad and a whole nother topic.

  • Most of the meds are under the sink in the guest bathroom in a big basket.  The vitamins, a bottle of advil, and maybe something else are all in the kitchen.

  • Most stuff is in a basket on top of the fridge, but the first aid stuff is in our bathroom, and I've got bottles of claritin stashed all around the house so i remember to take it and don't spend all day snuffling.
  • OTC stuff is in the bathroom.  We leave the door open all the time (it's just us), unless we have company.

Some prescriptions I keep in my purse because they are as needed.

My BC is in the bedroom so I remember to take it.
