Tips for photographing babies
I know there's a lot of new babies over here, and this post came up on my blog feeder thing this morning.

My silly Lily is almost 4.

Re: Tips for photographing babies
I need tips for how to photography a toddler who won't look at the camera and ignores their name : Most of my pics of Macy are her walking away. Or looking down.
But thanks for the link! I will book mark it for a later date.....hopefully 9 months from now :P
Baby Macy is here!

I told Lily there's a little bunny inside the camera and when I push the button he pops out just for a second so you have to look closely. It worked a couple of times, but I ended up getting a couple of pictures of her looking intently and curiously into the lens,
and then she started to try to touch it so that had to end.
I have also put a Pez dispenser into the hot shoe thingy on the camera and told her that if she would smile at the camera, the camera would give her a candy. It worked once or twice. Yeah, I'm not above bribery.
Generally, though, I have about 2,000 pictures of Lily looking down or away for every one of her looking at the camera.
Lately, she's been "taking pictures of me" with her Mickey Mouse camera. She finds a spot for me to sit, tells me how to pose, and then wants me to smile for the camera. She gets pissed if I don't. Huh.

I take pictures of my niece a lot and msot of them are candid shots. Which IMO are the best photos because its so natural. I have photographed a friend's 2 year old at Al Lopez park and I find this easiest because they are preoccupied so they wont get irritated by the camera and I can move around more to get a good angle.
Here's link to my blog post on some of the pics I took (the first couples photos and the last couple ones of a little girl and a little boy:
