F&B wedding guest related predicament

We are going to a wedding this evening at a local vineyard (wearing my 30.00 jcrew dress yay).

Here's the issues... it's raining heavily calling for it all day (poor bride) they were going to have it outside at the vineyard but I believe they have rented a tent to have the ceremony under.  So it's not super cold, mid 50s, but not warm either.  I suspect we will be walking on a fair amount of grass to get to and from ceremony and reception.

Hair: My hair has gotten LONG I either wear it up or curly during the week.  If I wear it down I'm worried it will become a frizzy mess and just not look good.   If I wear it up I'm afraid it will look like I wear it every day. Any suggestions? (straighten, curly , or up some how)

Shoes: I was going to wear a low wedge sandal. I'm not a huge fan of wet feet but I'm pretty sure whether it's a sandal or a flat my feet will be wet (can I wear my rainboots ;) I kid). The flats are black patten leather If I wear flats I will probably wear nude hose.  Shoes: flats or sandals?

This seems really silly but I'll take any advice I can get.

Re: F&B wedding guest related predicament

  • Hair: could you curl it and wear it half up and half down. I don't have any pictures, but I sometimes wear my hair half up and half down.

Shoes: I'm thinking if you wear the sandal that your feet may not get as wet, but I know with flats you will definitly get your feet wet.

Hopefully they will have something for you to walk on so that people don't get soaking wet.

Sorry I don't have much fashion advice as I am not very fashionable :)

ETA: I don't know if you have seen Kate Middleton's hair recently where it was half up and half down. I thought it looked very pretty on her. This is not a great picture as it is windy, but it looks like she curled it some and then pulled half of it up.
