April 2010 Weddings
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
I saw this on a Bump board that I lurk on (and hopefully will be posting on in a couple months). I thought you all would want to know, and keep her in your thoughts and prayers. If I see any updates there I will post them here.

Lori, thanks for checking on me, and thanks for letting our pals here know what's up! And thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and well wishes... we can really use them right now!
[I started writing this early this morning and then have been deluged with doctors, phone calls and texts... finally I have finished and there are two updates below.]
Whoa. What a roller coaster ride. For those who can't check the blog (the run-down is all there --- Paul brought me my laptop late last night so finally I could get connected to the world again), the gist of it is that we have stabilized... I'm not having contractions (yay), rather my uterus is irritable, most likely due to the fibroids who are trying to share space with the baby (super bad neighbors, but we can't evict them until everybody leaves). So because I've stabilized, they've taken me off the magnesium sulfate drip, and I am finally able to ingest clear liquids (I was on an IV with sugar water and ice chips since 3 pm yesterday, so this all seems like a feast).
Prognosis: I am stuck on hospital bed rest for the foreseeable future. Which means I will probably be Skyping to my shower tomorrow, and having lots of visitors this weekend, as much of our families have flocked into town for the event.
Actually, I have an update to my update already: The high risk doctor saw me this morning, measured the baby and discovered that I am now 6 cm dilated and 100% effaced, so all bets are off. He wants this baby delivered. So I'm off the meds to stop labor, and they're watching to see how I react. The second steroid dose (to help baby's lungs mature) is due at 6:30 pm, so we're hoping to make it to that and then I'm not sure how long they will wait for my body to react before wanting to induce me. I don't have much further to go, lol, but my water hasn't broken yet. The reason they don't want this to go on any longer is because there is risk of infection with me being dilated so much for too long.
So the long of the short of it is that you all might be Aunties to an outside jbunny before the weekend is out! Btw, Gertrude actually isn't my name for the baby itself, but rather the name for my uterus/bump - baby (+ fibroids) is her tenant) --- perhaps this is what is irritating her, having to play landlord with none of the attention or glory, though honestly she is orchestrating her own demise the way she's acting, geez.
Overall I'm a bit nervous but trying to relax about it. I know I'm in really good hands, and have all of you (and other friends and our families) rooting for us. Thank you!
