Uverse vent

I hate uverse.  I have for some time now.  We came home tonight to our uverse having a big fat red x on the screen when we turn on the TV.  DH has tried everything he normally does to fix it.  He is pretty technologically savvy.  We already have someone coming out here on Saturday because we had been having audio problems and they ran some tests and determined there is some "physical issue that may be impacting our service" that needs to be fixed.  So DH is talking to someone now who is telling him there is nothing they can do until they come out here on Saturday.  So.. you're telling me that not only have all our TV shows not recorded tonight because of whatever is wrong now but that we won't have TV until Saturday?!?!  UGH!  I'm so over these people.

  • ugh, I'm so sorry.

    I hate that you're having so many issues - because we changed a year ago to uverse and have been soooo much happier.  We've literally had not one issue.

    Hopefully they get it figured out asap, or that it just 'magically' fixes itself tonight! 

  • I'm convinced all of the cable companies are conspiring together to make sure they all have crappy service.  I can tell you that suddenlink is certainly no better.  ;(

  • Oh bummer! We really like Uverse. I remember that the installation process was a nightmare, but other than that, we have been really happy. Hope they get it resolved ASAP.

  • Sooo.... DH had someone coming out tonight and confirmed with someone last night that they would come after 5:15pm when he gets home today.  NOW, we just got a phone call saying "we are just calling to confirm that your uverse is working properly".  DH was like no, the technician hasn't even showed up.  THEN the guy tells him that the technician showed up at 4pm today, saw that there was a note saying not to come until 5:15pm and then returned the ticket saying "unable to access" and therefore no one is coming out now.... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!  DH is very passive about stuff like this and I just made him ask for a supervisor.  We pay $220 a month for this crap and it's not worth it.  I'm so mad right now!

    WTF?  I just had a guy leave my house to fix mine.  I should have said you have to go to MnM's first.
