I miss you girls!!

I feel like it's been forever since I've been able to hop on here.  Work has been crazy nuts, mandatory overtime the last two weeks (including a few hours today :(), so every free moment is spent w/P, H and trying to get ready for the next day.  Seriously, being a working mom is tough stuff!  Well, actually being a mom in general is hard Stick out tongue

P is changing so much, he smiles a ton now and even lets out a few giggles.  He had his two month check-up last Monday, weighed in at 8lb 15oz.  Here I thought he had gotten so huge, turns out he's only in the 4th percentile!  He's such a little peanut Smile

Dropping him off at day care last week was so hard. He had to go to a center for 4 days since our in-home couldn't take him until this Monday. I really thought it would be a piece of cake since I'd been back to work for two weeks w/no tears.  On the contrary, leaving him with complete strangers was the worst feeling ever.   I bawled there and on the way to work.  My mom was even sad, said she wishes she could be a stay at home grandma.  Everything was fine, in fact we both really liked the center (they did so many activities with him!), but their rate is outrageous.  I really like our lady and the one-on-one he gets from her, so I'm glad with our choice.

I hate that I can't come chat with you ladies during the day now, but the job is definitely keeping me busy.  I do lurk during my pumping breaks, but my iphone is so slow anymore that attempting to respond to posts in pointless.  There have been so many posts I've wanted to add my input to and now I've forgotten them!  Mom-brain I guess? Wink

Anyhoo, this ended up being way longer, just wanted to say hi to you ladies!! I hope you're doing well, I can't believe how far along in your pregnancy so many of you are!

Re: I miss you girls!!

  • Glad to here the new job is going well!  I guess you have pretty good job security since we have been so busy.

Parker is definitely a peanut!  Robert went on Friday to the Dr and he was exactly 10lbs and only in the 25th percentile!

  • Aw, we miss you too!  It's been pretty quiet around here actually.  So glad you are busy because that means you have a job which is great!  Do you like it and are you adjusting to it?  Thanks for stopping by!!!!

    Beta's 11, 14, 57, 637, 2800
Sono showed no baby and teeny tiny sac. Waiting to M/C naturally.

  • Hi! Glad you checked in. Do you like the new job? In-home care sounds nice, we just dont have any leads so we're going to check out our 4th daycare this week, sigh. Carly was 9 lb 2 oz at two weeks! Dont know the percentile though. How much did Parker and Robert weigh at birth?
  • Aw, I love tiny babies. Don't know why - I just love small things. Tiny babies are so sweet. Smile We never even saw Nate when he was that small.

My mom wants to be a SAH grandma, too, but she lives too far away. It's only an hour and 20 minutes, so I do sometimes call her when our babysitter can't keep Nate (her daughter catches every thing that goes around).

And I agree. Being a working mom is tough stuff. So much to do, so little time!

  • Thanks for checking in, Heather!

How do you like the new job?

It's been really quiet here during the week, actually!! I've been in meetings most of the days, every day...but I think this week I will mostly be at my desk (meaning less than 50% meetings...) to do some planning type things and documentation stuff...Anyhow...

That's so sweet P is giggling and smiling...such a fun thing!!!!!

  • Hi!  Glad you checked in.  It is so hard leaving them, but it gets easier.  Your schedule sounds like mine when I first started back.  I jumped right into busy season with overtime.

    How's the cding?

Love the smiles and giggles.  It just keeps getting better!

It's good to see you back.  Glad to hear the job is going well.

  • Awww, I love little babies too! Mine is growing like a weed! She was 7'10 at birth and 9'2 at 1 month. We'll find out what she is now at her 2 month checkup on Tuesday, but I have a feeling she is way bigger after this 6 week growth spurt she just had. She looks way bigger at least!

Glad to hear all is well! I'm not even working and it's hard for me to get on and post sometimes, so I can't imagine how busy you must be! Thanks for checking in though :)

  • I do like the new job, tons to learn and I'm glad to be busy again.  As you know, at my last job it had slowed down a bit and that could make for long days, so I'm glad to be at a much more productive one now :)  Although I do miss those part-time hours a little Wink

Parker weighed 6 lb 8.5 oz at birth, so he's always been a tiny little dude.

  • I'm glad your new job is going well and that daycare for P is going well! I know it can be hard to leave your little one - I cried for a week after I went back to work - but it'll get easier. I'm glad P is growing, too! I can't believe he's two months old already.
