Visiting DC with girlfriends
Hello Ladies -
I am meeting a few of my college girlfriends in DC the first weekend in May. We are hoping to stay in Dupont Circle for the weekend.
Do any of you have any recommendations for hotel options in the area?
We are also interested in any recs for dinner, lunch and can't miss activities outside of the normal DC attractions.
Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks!!
Re: Visiting DC with girlfriends
Co Co Sala is a fun dinner spot for a girls' night out.
For lunches, if you're looking for a sit-down lunch, Old Ebbit Grill is sort of the quitessential DC business lunch spot - but it has an interesting history and a decent menu. If you're looking to grab a quicker lunch close to one of the Smithsonian museums, I'd recommend the cafeteria at the American Indian Museum or the food court at the Ronald Reagan Building.
There's a great view of the city from POV, the rooftop bar at the W Hotel, but I'd only go for one drink - they're expensive! You need a reservation if you want a table, but if you're just going to the bar, they'll let you up (I hear it gets crowded on Friday or Saturday nights, so I would go for a pre-dinner drink).
Georgetown is cute if you're looking to do some shopping, but the stores are essentially the same ones you'd find at most higher-end malls.
