"Induction" deadline... :(
I got munchkin's deadline at yesterday's appointment.
If I don't go into labor on my own before then, they'll start cervix ripening on the 28th. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he comes on his own OR in the alternative that only doing cervix ripening is enough, and we won't have to move on to further interventions.
Re: "Induction" deadline... :(
Crossing my fingers and sending out lots of baby dust that baby boy arrives on his own before the 28th, keep us posted!

This isn't a snarky loaded question, but why are they inducing you before your due date? Is it a blood pressure or Gest Diab thing?
It's because of the gestational diabetes, and me needing meds for it to keep my overnight numbers under control. That puts me into a category of women who are at higher risk of stillbirth. My sugars look good now, but apparently he's still at risk - I go for NST's twice a week to keep an eye on him, and have my amniotic fluid levels checked once a week also.
They've told me I'll need constant monitoring during labor, and may need an extra IV to regulate my blood sugars during active labor. So much for going naturally... My goal now is to go as naturally as possible. We're working with doulas-in-training and both the MWs I see and the hospital I'll deliver at are very natural-birth friendly.
I just need my body to cooperate.
My Wedding Bio! Not updated in a LONG time!
Gotcha- I figured it was something like that- I just can't keep all the PG sitations straight!!!
I'll keep my fingers crossed tight for an eager baby who wants out sooner and if not, a smooth induction. I know mine didn't go according to plan, but then again, given that at 2 full weeks late my body wasn't really getting with the program, I think the dye was cast early on, ha!
Sending you the juju (with a little extra to have the baby decide to arrive on the 26th-- my brother's birthday!)!
C'monnnnnn, Baby!
Good luck!
I'm one of those people who had a no problem induction (due to water breaking and no contractions); they started me on pitocin and 12 hours later I gave birth vaginally. I did have an epidural, but that was always my preference.
Fingers crossed that you have as little intervention as possible!
