Harry potter
Has anyone read these books? Are they good? I'm thinking about reading them but wanted opinions. I am probably the last person to read them though. I have never seen the movies either.

I actually just finished reading the series last night. I kept saying for years that I'd read them during baseball season (when JJ is travelling a ton) and finally did it! The first 3 were very remedial, but by book 4 it really picked up, and 4-7 were REALLY good. Though 1-3 aren't super exciting, they do lay the foundation for the rest of the series, so they're important. Honestly, the series is great and I'd recommend it. It does take some time and dedication, some of the books are 700+ pages, but it's a very fast read. The plot twists and turns so much!
JJ and I just watched all of the movies up through part 1 of 7 and they were also good, got better as the series progressed, but missed a ton of stuff from the books since they're so long. I liked the movies, but obviously liked the books better.
This. I love HP! I can't wait til the 2nd part of the 7th book comes out in theaters this summer! I cried so much at the end of the series.
