Squirrels

I think squirrels are eating or digging up my lawn. There are tons of bald patches on my lawn. I also discovered a small hole yesterday. Have you had this happen to you? What did you do to prevent them from digging up the lawn?

Thanks!

How big are the bald patches? Are they bare dirt or dead grass? How big is the hole?Could you post a picture?

  • I 'm not sure how to post a picture on a Mac. The patches are all dirt. The hole isn't super big. My husband said the squirrels are active in the morning. Any ideas?

  • Squirrels have been digging in our lawn looking for acorns.  It doesn't look terrible and we're just considering it free law aeration. We just tamp the grass back down.

You can buy some repellent if you want them to stop.

I was thinking that the patches were the result of some type of turf disease, that's why I was hoping to have a look at them. How big are the patches? I just have doubts that squirrels are doing this type of damage.

  • Animals will also dig up patches of lawn when you have grubs.
