share your brownie recipe!

I'm sending DH to the store tomorrow to get ice cream because I need a brownie. And one cannot have a brownie without ice cream.

I have 3 brownie recipes I shift between, but am always looking to try new ones.  Care to share your go to brownie recipe?!

I love fudgy!  But I also don't mind cake like brownies with frosting.  Mmmm.

  • I use this one, but use half chocolate chips and half butterscotch chips. Sometimes, I add a little mint oil or coconut oil to spice it up (if I use an oil, then I don't use butterscotch chips at all):

  • Here is my go-to recipe for cake-like brownies.  (When I want fudgey brownies I usually just use a boxed mix.)

    Hershey Syrup Brownies

    1 cup sugar

    1 stick butter

    4 eggs

16 oz. can (1-1/2 cups) Hershey syrup

    1 cup + 1 Tbsp. flour

Beat together sugar, butter, and eggs.  Add in syrup and flour.  Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.  Cool.

    Frosting

    1-1/3 cups sugar

    6 Tbsp. milk

    6 Tbsp. butter

    1/2 cup chocolate chips

Combine sugar, milk, and butter in a medium saucepan.  Boil 2-1/2 minutes, remove from heat, and stir in chocolate chips.  Cool and beat until thickened.  Spread on brownies.

  • Just looked at my blog for my go to, they are the king Arthur fudge brownies too! I like to try new recipes and have a few I love, but for company or for treats for others I use this recipe. Now, I want brownies!
  • I typically don't like to add ice cream to things like brownies, but I REALLY like to make ice cream sundies with THESE (which aren't brownies but more a blondie). Last time I made them, I added some coconut oil (the flavour, not the actual oil) and they were heaven...

  • I make brownies a lot. I have recipes on my blog and yesterday I made the New York Times Supernatural Brownie. Yummy.
  • Ummm....I make the Betty Crocker ones in a box that has the frosting on them.

  • The best brownie recipe I've ever tried is the one on the back of the bar of Ghirardelli Chocolate... I can't remember now if it's the bittersweet bar or the milk chocolate bar, but if you can find the Ghirardelli bars on the baking aisle, check the backs and whichever one has a recipe for brownies, that's the one. I add nuts and chocolate chips, sometimes butterscotch or peanut butter chips just to switch things up, but they are always incredible.
