I need help planning a day trip.

My husband and I are both off during a week day and after a long trip away I'd like to plan something special for us to do. Joey will be in daycare so it would have to be close enough for us to get back in time for pickup in the early evening.

Originally I thought we'd go to the movies and a nice lunch, but my lower back starts to hurt when I sit for too long. I'm fine for walking though! I'm up for Baltimore, Harford, Delaware, even up to Philly since that's only an hour away from us.

Any good ideas?

  • Longwood gardens is probably starting to get pretty this time of year. You could always head downtown and walk around the harbor/fells/fed hill. Get some good food, do some shopping and always fun people watching. That's all I got. I am boring! It's good to "see" you here I have been wondering about you. How are you?

aw thanks! I haven't been "around" a lot but I'm doing great...I have successfully avoided bedrest!! woo!! This pregnancy is going soooo much better.

not that you mention it, I think there is a place in delaware kind of like Longwood gardens. i might look into that. thanks!

  • Winterthur is in Delaware - towards Wilmington.

  • Longwood Gardens or Winterthur would be beautiful this time of year. The azaleas should be in full bloom anytime now. You could also do St. Michael's or DC.
