Where to buy patio furniture?

Any suggestions of where to shop for patio furniture (online or in person)? We'd like to buy something that doesn't require assembly or for which the only assembly is adding legs to a table.

Re: Where to buy patio furniture?

  • We bought ours from Ikea.  It has held up a lot better than the benches we bought at World Market.  We have an expandable table we bought at Ikea on our patio and some porch furniture too.
  • We bought ours from Bed, Bath and Beyond 2 years ago.  I love it- the only assembly was adding legs and cushions.  And we could fit the entire set (loveseat, 2 chairs, 2 end tables and a coffee table) in its boxes in our car.

  • We have a table and chairs from Ikea and a love seat, chair and side table from patio.com- (located in Tysons corner)  Love them both.  Its only been two years but the Ikea stuff has held up as well as the teak furniture (the patio.com furniture) for half the price.  I can't guarantee that the Ikea will out last the teak furniture but I am impressed so far :-)  (Just a note for patio.com we also bought around thanksgiving time, bought from stock available in the show room, and didn't need delivery so we paid much much less for the three pieces than whats quoted online).

We got ours at Target and are thrilled with the set.

They often do free shipping on patio furniture around now, and if you are a AAA member you can get 10% off if you order online by going to your AAA site, log in, click shopping, then go to Target.

  • I ordered mine on Amazon.com and I'm pretty sure I got free shiping.  I've had it for five years now and it's held up well.

  • We looked all over for a set last spring. We ended up getting one at homedepot.com. They had free shipping and the best price on the basic set we wanted.

  • We got the Strathwood-Falkner set from Amazon for our wedding almost 4 years ago and it has held up very well. The aluminum is not supposed to rust and all of our furniture is still in like new condition (however, we keep the cushions inside when we aren't using them). I like this set because you can mix-n-match the pieces and get what you want. We got the table and 8 chairs but they also have a love seat, lounge chair, side tables, etc. I think the pricing of this set was very reasonable.

This is the link for the chairs but you can see the other items in the line in the section "Customers who bought this also bought...".
