How was everyone's weekend? Yesterday the weather here was INSANE. Snow, rain, hail, sleet, and THUNDER. Like, wtf? It's mid-April!
Our weekend was pretty good. I didn't get as much done as I wanted to, but still accomplished a lot.
We after the ILs left yesterday we ended up having to tear the window out and redo it, since it went it 6" too close to the wall. Lesson learned here, Derek doesn't get to read the drawings anymore. Thankfully when the guys did all the structural framing on Saturday they did it for the full opening on the old window (as in, way huger than the new window) so it was fairly straight forward to redo, but it was a PITA.
Yesterday I made these cookies and holy god they're good. It was a little strange using pudding mix in cookies, but they're sooooo tasty.
How was everyone's weekend?
Re: Goooood Morning!
Our weekend was pretty good despite my neck pain. Friday night we went to Albany to see BIL which was fun. Then we went and looked at a house that was awful. The woman (owner) selling it was a nut too...
Some gems that she told us:
After we looked at the house, we went and had dinner with my parents.
Sunday I sat with a heating pad on my neck on and off most of the day.
Today I am watching the Boston Marathon and then trying to get in a short run assuming it doesn't hurt too much. I am running on the treadmill so I can stop if I need to.

We had a great weekend, but it's spring break so we're on a long weekend
.
On Sat DH went to my brother's bachelor party, and I took C to the Roller Derby, she loved it, and was even more impressed that Mommy knew a few of the ladies and wanted to meet them after.
Sunday we went shopping, and kinda bummed around. I was a little sad we were not on a plane to Florida, then we woke up this morning with snow on the ground and I was extra sad.
Good news, today all the paperwork to have C placed with us is being filed today, also they should be filing to terminate her mother's rights today.
Morning ladies.
Raynes those cookies sound delic!
Blender I hope your neck starts to feel better soon.
My weekend was pretty uneventful. Saturday I took the boys and signed them up for the Next Gen Harold Alfond scholarship. So glad I finally have their college savings started. We then ran some other errands.
Sunday we all lounged around the house, watched a movie, and of course laundry and cleaning.
Today I am crazy busy at work (as usual). Have a great day ladies.
Good morning! I am at home today because I stupidly bought new eye cream on Thursday and have finally developed a full-on elephant man reaction to it. My eyes are so swollen I can barely see the screen. Anyone know if Sephora will take the cream back?
In other news, I made hot cross buns over the weekend, went out for a friend's birthday (2 am jenga party! Woo!) and huddled inside for the rest of the craptacular weather. Seriously raynes, what was up with that? There was a moment yesterday when it was sunny, snowing furiously AND thundering at the exact same time and I kept wondering what I'd done wrong to displease the gods.

Good morning! Our weekend was pretty nice--we got a lot of sleep, did some damage with Landshark and Longboard beer on Saturday night, and got a lot of stuff done. Yesterday we went for a nice walk and got to sit outside for a while. It was gorgeous.
Today I'm nervous--I have a phone interview with a nonprofit. Funny story: my mom pointed out their building when she was visiting and said, "M'ija, you should work for them!" I just sort of chuckled, but two days later they advertised a position right up my alley! A month later and I get a call for an interview. Wish me luck that I get to the second round!
Off to prep for a morning meeting now. Have a great day, ladies!
Friday night we finally watched Social Network (we are so behind on so many movies).
Saturday morning we ran a 5K benefiting the animal rescue that P has been volunteering at. P got 10th place overall, but he was beat by a dog, ha (I was beat by like 4 or 5). I did alright for just starting running again 3 wks ago or so and the conditions were gross (in the 40s, drizzly, and windy), but I was a little bummed I didn't do better. The last 5K I ran back in 2009 I got 23:36, this time it was 26:50. I was hoping to be the 25s or less, but I guess a 8:38mi pace is alright for just starting again.... After that we visited friends who just had their baby 3wks ago and our friends came with their 6month old. It was nice to the see the kids and our friends, but we both wore out from the baby talk quickly. We headed home because of the downpour and just snuggled in watched some more Dexter..
Yesterday was more Dexter, cleaning, and hanging around relaxing.

FMO - that's great news! I hope everything goes smoothly with the paperwork
We had a good weekend - good mix of social time and productive time. I've also been good at getting back into running and keeping up with working out. I had bought some of the other Jillian Michaels videos, to build from the 30DS. Those were delivered last week, and I tried out Banish Fat Boost Metabolism yesterday, which I liked. It didn't kill me, but I thought it was a good workout.
Cecilia arrived 12 October 2012
Thanks raynes... I feel better when its broken into a per mile pace, but I had gone back and looked at a few of my times from 5Ks in college and I guess just feel like I should running at least around those times if not better. Even though I was active and playing sports, I was so unhealthy (beer)!... We are going to run another in a few weeks, both try to improve.
Pete ran a 22:29... I hate him.

@ raynes - Heck, yes! I have all those things in the pantry. It's cookie time.
@ blender - hope your neck feels better soon
@ FMO - hooray for filing paperwork! Smooth sailing to you guys.
@ Susi - Good luck with the interview.
We didn't do anything special this weekend, just ran a bunch of errands, did laundry, that sort of stuff. We did go to game night at church on Saturday for a bit and that was kind of fun. I monopolized the pastor's nine month old all night, which was great.

FMO - so exciting.blender - yuk I hope you feel better
Susi - Good luck with the interview.
Kaesha- Sephora will return your eye cream. They are pretty good about that stuff
My weekend was slammed, volunteer thing Saturday that turned out well, Saturday night I went and cheered my wedding photographers while the got engaged and Sunday I hung out with my Mom, MIL and SIL and went to an art festival.
Good Morning!
Weekend was really good. Saturday Jordan had his first t-ball game. It was so funny to watch. We went to see the Easter bunny afterwards. Preston loved the Easter bunny. He giggled at him and tried to eat him.
Yesterday was a lazy day around the house. I did a little cleaning. Me and Jordan hid easter eggs and watched a movie.
Today is a half busy day at work. I have plenty of busy work I could do but none of it that must be done anytime soon. I am going to have my haircut this afternoon so I am ready for a little pampering!
Well, the window's in, that's about it. But, that what the first, necessary step before pretty well anything else could be done, so, we should be getting going soon! I'm going to start getting quotes for material this week.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Sounds like good weekends so far. Great start to the week for all of us! (minus the eye reaction. Sorry kaesha)
We had some crazy rain Saturday night, which turned into a chase the dog session. I should've just left him outside to play in the rain and enjoy it, but we had mud puddles almost up to mid-calf in some places. I don't think even a bath would've been helpful after that.
The rest of the weekend was hanging out with friends, playing some games and lot of lounging. I think the lack of sleep all caught up to me yesterday, so I passed out on the couch for quite a while. I don't know how I managed to be asleep by 11 last night, but I'm not complaining.
Today is a total disaster at work. Our office usually runs with 4 people in it, plus student workers. One employee left last week for another job and the other is an old man who really shouldn't be here anymore. He's out for the rest of the week due to some joint pain. That leaves 2 of us, and the students if they're actually here. Finals are coming up and they seem to take more and more time off each week. Hopefully I can keep up with all the new stuff I'll now be taking over.
Good morning. I had a fairly quiet weekend. Yesterday we went to a couple's shower. It was actually gorgeous outside so the shower was moved outdoors. I ended up getting slightly sunburned as I wasn't prepared to be outside. It was fun though.
Otherwise, Saturday was gross out so I tried my best to stay inside. We rented movies and did some housework. This is a short week for me so I'm in a good mood. I'm off on Friday for a wedding this weekend. The wedding isn't until Saturday but we decided to get there a night early and enjoy a night away from home.
I went to a friends baby shower on Saturday and ate my face off. You would almost think I was the one having a baby.
Yesterday my parents and Russ' parents came to visit us. It was strange having both sets of parents come in for a change. We usually are the ones to bite the bullet and drive up to see them. They treated us to Red Lobster and we sat around and talked and goofed around for hours. My dad and Russ' dad used to work together (kinda), his dad was a log truck driver and my dad loaded the trucks so they have a long history together and get along famously. Even with all going on I managed to get a ton of work done.
All in all it was a very good weekend.
Good morning ladies. We had a really busy weekend trying to do last minue prep for the baby. On Saturday we went to the IL's for FIL's birthday and spent most of the day there. Yesterday we went to buy what we still need from our BRU registry and we went to Sears to buy a video camera.
DH is on Spring Break so we're going to run errands today. Namely buy what we still need from our Target registry, go grocery shopping, and pick up a few things. I hope we're able to hang out at home the rest of the afternoon because I'm tired just thinking about what we have to do. Hope you all have a great day!
My weekend was really hectic.
Saturday was retreat day for RCIA. We watched an interesting movie called "Most" and spent much of the day talking about our feelings about being baptized and wrapping things up. We also spent an hour in adoration. Later that night I had regular mass and by that point, I was feeling really churched-out.
Sunday I ran my half marathon in less than ideal conditions. I did manage to have a major PR, though (1:59:14) so I'm pretty exciting and can't wait to run again. After that we had my nephews birthday party. I managed to bash his head off the floor (carpeted) while rough housing. I'm a bad aunt bethie. Thankfully he was fine.
Tonight I'm just relaxing, eating left over pizza and taking the day off the gym because I'm pretty sore.
