what's on your meal plan for next week
Or, if you haven't made one, what do you think will be on it?
(I just found mine from this week and realized we never made 1/2 of it- so I need to make 3 kinds of veggies this weekend so they dont' go bad).
Re: what's on your meal plan for next week
Chicken francaise
Grilling (husband/kids will probably have burgers or steaks and I'll have fish)
DS has soccer on Wednesday, so probably sandwiches and I was thinking of trying to make stuffed red peppers this week.
We meal plan for 2 weeks - here's what's leftover:
calzones (spinach, cheese, white kidney beans and mushrooms)
tuna noodle casserole (w/ peas and mushrooms added in)
chicken pot pie
taco casserole
chili
chicken w/ scallion lime sauce
chicken dumpling soup
tuna melts
5 cats. 1 baby.
Monday- Grilled tuna steaks, asparagus, and balsamic brussel sprouts.
Tuesday- Taco Tuesday by our house, DH is obsessed and it's $5 AYCE tacos and taco salads so it's almost cheaper than making something and there's no mess!
Wednesday- Veggie lasagna and baked panko eggplant
Thursday- Spaghetti squash with chicken, peas, beans, and whatever else I can throw in there.
Friday- Paleo buffalo chicken salads
Saturday we go out to eat
Sunday-Pork tenderloin with roasted butternut squash and sweet potato fries.
I always feel like a hillbilly when I read these. I have to google some of the things other people write because I am so meat-and-potatoes boring. Some of you are so fancy! Are the fancy meals easy/quick? I need recipes! But these posts are inspiring me to stop making the same old thing! (except this week. Obviously.)
Shrimp Alfredo
Beef Stew in the crockpot
Some kind of pasta with some of the vat of meat sauce in my freezer
asnowracer, I'm with you! When I read these posts I am always reminded about how much my family eats the same thing weeks at a time and it's usually really basic stuff. I am hoping to get some inspiration for this coming week because I haven't gone grocery shopping yet this weekend.
Here's what I've got:
Sunday: Need an idea (i like to make a nice meal or something I normally wouldn't have time to make on Sundays)
Monday: Turkey Tacos
Tuesday: Broccoli Vermecelli
Wednesday: Homemade pepperoni pizza
Thursday: Homemade Mac and Cheese
Friday: Chicken Salad Sandwiches and Chips
Saturday: We'll probably eat out
I'm having spaghetti and h is having tacos tonight, leftovers tomorrow night, tilapia with broccoli Wednesday, leftovers Thursday, chicken fajitas Friday, probably leftovers Saturday. Sunday we're going to Chiaparellis for Easter dinner with my family.
