bissell spot bot pet

I think its a winner!

Pros: very easy to use. It really does work on set-in stains. Easy to empty dirty water without it spilling or making a mess.

Cons: its louder than a vacuum. The pet cleaning agent is $10 a bottle.

Tips: It doesn't specify hot or cold water, but use hot.

There are markings on the container for how much water and solution to use.Cut the solution by 1/4 to 1/2 and use more water. It doesn't make a difference.

If the area is still really wet, use the brush attachment to soak up some of the water.

I only had a limited amount of time to use this with natural light (the only way I can see the stains) but it appears that it got everything up. I even sniffed the carpet afterward and there was no lingering smell. I'm going to use it again tomorrow on a stain that I missed and then going over some of the other areas again using the brush.

So far, I think its completely worth the money, but if I didn't have a gift card to Target to cut down the price, I probably would have got it from either QVC or HSN to do the multi-payment option they offer, because, well, why not?

  • Thanks for posting this!  I was wondering how well they actually work.  H and I definitely need something like this for our carpet with a kitty around the house.

  • I loved mine, and resident evil genius Dixie hated it. This machine made cleaning up after her so easy, so she chewed the cord, rendering it ineffective. We upgraded to the Bissell Proheat 2x Pet, which works just as well but is less convenient. DH likes cleaning the whole carpet, so he wanted it. As far as the spotbot goes though, I usually added a little bit of vinegar to the solution as well. It helps to get rid of the smell.

  • Awesome, LTB, thanks for the review!  And Dats, thanks for the vinegar suggestion, great idea!
