Happy Monday!

Hey ladies!  Hope you all had a great weekend!  What did you end up doing?!

Today will be crazy as it is my first day back since the 7th.  Ugh.  I do NOT want to go in.

Re: Happy Monday!

  • Well, I must say coming home from 89 degrees and sun to 40 degrees, gloom and now SNOW, I am not a happy camper.  =(

But the weekend was good nonetheless.  We had Amanda all weekend since we were gone last week, and we dropped her off before our anniversary dinner last night.

We ate out too much this weekend though which is not good for my WW.  Subway on Friday over my mom's house (which wasn't too bad), breakfast at a new coney place on Saturday and dinner at Outback after church; then last night we had dinner at a nice place in Trenton called Savannah's which is an old house-turned-restaurant.

We watched "The Takers" on Netflix Saturday night and dug into the top layer of the cake yesterday afternoon while Amanda was still with us.

  • Cindy - glad you had a nice trip, it really does stink to come back to crappy weather :(  Booo!!

We had a great weekend - we did nothing Friday or Saturday - but it was relaxing.  Saturday night was really stormy, and we had water leaking into our fireplace, which freaked us out a little bit.  It's dry now, so I hope it doesnt happen again!!!  There is NEVER a dull moment when you own a house - always something to worry about!!!!

Yesterday, we had a baby shower, and then went to my aunt's house after for Palm Sunday.  We had dinner with the whole family and played with the kiddos outside - what a beautiful day!

    Happy Monday ladies!

  • I had a fantastic weekend! Friday night SD and I watched the Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows part 1 which came out on On Demand that day, Saturday was crappy rainy weather so we stayed home and relaxed, watched tv a bunch. Sunday DH and I ran out to get some more yarn for my pillows I making to match the afghan I finished (I gotta PIP this one it is crazy huge!) and then went to dinner after dropping off the kids at their mom's.

Our dinner was free since it was our first anniversary at the place where we got married, so we paid for drinks (margaritas yum!) and tips. We got scallops wrapped in bacon, DH got surf and turf (lobster tail and prime rib) and I got Seafood Au Gratain. It was yummy and we didn't bother with dessert we were so stuffed!

I'm off today to spend some time with DH so we'll have to iron out our plans. I was thinking about going to some of the local farms to check things out- The Market at Del Val by Shade Brook Farm is where I thought of going along with another local farm owned by one of SD's friend's family.

  • Happy Monday!!!

It was a pretty low key weekend for us, as H had night shift, so he mostly slept during the days. We did manage to go out on Saturday morning (into what felt like a moonsoon!) to purchase a new HDTV for our bedroom, but after that we just hung in. Sunday the weather was gorgeous, but we still stayed close to home...

And now - the fun part: getting ready to leave for our trip on Saturday morning! I have the weather for Savannah on my phone - sunny and upper 80's/lower 90's for the entire week! After this cold, chilly, rainy spring here in MD, we are so ready for some warm sunshine...let me tell ya :-))

  • My weekend was pretty low key, which I loved :)

Friday night we stayed in. Saturday was my mom's birthday....so I was up at my parents to drop off her gift. Also took the dog to the groomer. Saturday evening was nothing exciting. Sunday I had a jewelry party...so I spent the morning cleaning and running around like a crazy person and hurt my back in the process, ugh!

  • Our weekend was way too short.

Friday night I went to a local fish fry that everyone raves about and it was really good.  Then just hung out with DH.

Saturday was SILs bridal shower and then we had Easter with MIL's side of the family in the evening.  That was a long day, but still fun.

Sunday was a lazy day.  We did some laundry and I made dinner and that's about it.

I am off Friday, so I am hoping this week goes fast.

  • Morning ladies!

Well, Friday night we went out for dinner/drinks/comedian at a bar with Jeff's forever-single friend with his new GIRLFRIEND! I'm so proud and excited for him. He is a super sweetheart, but just SO shy, I seriously never thought he would meet someone. : ) We got home at about 12 and went to bed. Oh, and I was SO proud of myself...this bar has the BEST prime rib around, but beef has been making me feel so sick lately with my endo, I went with a vegetarian flatbread (veggie cause I love all of the veggies they put on it) with fajita chicken added on. Yummy and I didn't feel like crap for once!

Saturday morning we were up early because Jeff was going to the Nebraska Spring (Football) Game with some friends. After he left I picked up in the kitchen, then went to my mom & dads for a light lunch, and they helped me finish of the top layer of cake. Then, my mom (oh, by the way, they found nothing with all of those tests, but she is feeling much better, so we will just see what happens after the stress test next Monday) and I went shopping for some landscaping stuff then groceries. When we got back I finished all of the landscaping stuff, and I think I am finally done for a while! It all looks SO good! I'm so excited! Then I made myself Romaine salad with mozzarella chunks and Paula Dean's Peach Salad Dressing (uh, 15 cal/4 g carb per serving...yea), grilled BBQ boneless, skinless chicken thighs, and grilled pineapple! It was all so good, and I just lounged watched Grey's on the xbox.

Sunday, I was SOOOO lazy! I seriously watched Grey's and movies on Netflix all morning and afternoon. It was fabulous! Then, when Jeff got home, we took a nap (you know, because I had such an exhausting day) Then Tae-Bo and dinner. I completely just made up dinner, and it was great (chicken cooking in white wine with mushrooms, onion, garlic, light alfredo sauce, seasonings and some cheese).

Wow. That was long. Can you tell I was a little lonely this weekend? Hahah!

  • Ok Friday night I came home ate supper and started working on finishing my paper for my policy class the next day. Was up until 2:30-3 in the morning...why do I procrastinate?!

Saturday I had class in the morning then our class went out for lunch afterwards to celebrate THE END of that class.  Then hung out at DH's gma's house with the rest of the family that was in town for the weekend.

Sunday-DH and I went for lunch and went shopping for food for FIL's bday dinner, came home napped, and cooked dinner and celebrated with him.

I feel like a 100 lb weight has been lifted since this class is finished.  Life is good!  :)

What a great feeling :)  Congrats!

  • @Danie: I'm so glad you mom is feeling better!

This weekend was awful!  I had so much work to do, I was probably in lab 20 hours this weekend.  BUT, DH was so thoughtful, he made sure that the few hours I was out of lab were fun and relaxing!  And I did end up getting to enjoy the awesome weather here yesterday when we did a beach hike.

  • Danie - glad to hear things looked okay with your mom!

This weekend was awesome minus the fact that I stuffed my face with all sorts of not-so-good-for-me food. Friday we made our weekly dinner and wine and tried to watch Get Him to the Greek during which I fell asleep on the couch as usual :)

Saturday went out on the boat with friends. Got home late and just ordered pizza and, once again, passed out on the couch. What is wrong with me!

Yesterday we got some stuffed and plotted our re-do of our lanai which will happen in a couple of weeks, then went out to dinner with friends. And I went to sleep in my BED, hoorah!

  • My weekend was pretty good. On Friday night DH was at the Yankees game. I was angry with him over something so I sat at home and gloated. Nice, I know.  On Saturday we did some shopping during the day and had a nice lunch out, then that night I tried out a new recipe I've been wanting to make. It turned out great.

Yesterday, since the weather was nice, I dragged myself away from the Phillies game on TV.  Since we got the MLB package I never want to leave the house. ;)  It was pretty nice out so we took a walk through our town, did some window shopping at the local overpriced boutiques, and had brunch. Then the Yankees game was on TV last night.  It's like baseball 24/7 in my house.

Well, Passover starts tonight, so if you are looking for me I'll be in our cafeteria stuffing myself with bread and pasta.

  • Happy Marathon Monday ladies!!

Hah, for those of you that don't know, it's basically a holiday today in Boston and MA as a whole. The Boston Marathon was this morning and it was fabulous! An American woman was mere SECONDS away from winning the Boston Marathon, something that hasn't happened since the 70s! So inspiring. One of my life goals is to run the Boston Marathon and I'm going to try to make it happen next year! :)

The SOX are also playing now and they are winning!!! YAY!!!!

And work is slowing down so that's good! I'm ready to go home already

  • Well me weekend was okay...Friday I fell asleep on the couch; Saturday DH had off so we did stuff around the house, ran some errands, watched the snow fall, and watched the King's Speech.  Sunday went to church, did some more stuff around the house, and worked out.  Pretty low key for us too!
