do you care if natalie portman didn't dance in black swan?
i never realized they made her out to have danced in black swan. i mean, i know the amount of training involved to become a prima ballerina, and so it would be pretty impossible for her to have done it. but her dancing double is saying that natalie was promoted as having danced the movie and that's why she has gotten so many accolades for her performance. i didn't see the movie, but i don't think i would care one way or another. what do you think?

This! I thought she was amazing in it! And yeah you knew it wasn't her b/c you never saw her face when she was doing something very techinical.
Yeah, I heard she did a fair amount of the dancing herself...just not the really technical stuff.
I don't really care either way - I give her props for doing the amount of dancing that she did do on camera.

She actually danced a good deal in the movie. I mean, she's engaged to her coreogropher! Granted, she didn't do the over-the-top technical things, but she did learn a fair amount of ballet for the role. Her acting was also amazing.
I was just surprised that they took an actress and made her a dancer, rather than taking a dancer, and maing her an actress.
